I spy a (very tacky) catseye jewel thingie. Not sure if that's supposed to be tigerseye or not... the chatoyancy is a bit off for that.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
Check out that URL.

Will deny.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
THOSE FIENDS.

I'm sure the viral marketing will pick up soon enough, but I'd wager that the thematic structure is another binary set

fear/courage
chaos/order
and possibly lies/truth or something invoking questioning of faith.

[identity profile] darkknightfall.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
Or maybe the MARKETING is the lie, and is littered with red herrings. I wouldn't put it past them.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
They starting pretty early with TDK, though, and 2010 is rounding up. Expectation for marketing is high, given the success of the last techniques (and holy crap, they were good).

Could be a faux-fanmade, but if it's authentic, there's a lot to be said. Especially on the minor details, as that's what was so successful in the last method.

Hell, in the Gotham Times issue 2 online for TDK, Edward Nashton wrote to the editor. That is a damn delightful detail.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
Some people are very ardent, I guess.

I sort of dread the final installment, to be honest, but realistically we should be seeing ads at some point...

Oh. Oh dear.

doub^T :s

...

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's the slightly faded symbol following that which catches my eye, too.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Huge, huge conspiracy vibes.

Doub, dub, doubles, coin reference, white rabbit, doubting reality, denial.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
doub to the T power, where T is a function of time?

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
Time as it is perceived as chronological and functional, or moreso in the vein of Einstein's relativity?

Because I can tell you if this is authentic Riddler, it's the latter.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
Possibly.

From a mathematical standpoint such an equation would refer to doubt exponentially increasing as a function of time if taken literally.

or that's how I'd interpret it.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
Hrm, makes sense. Particularly where doubt is cut off from; doub being a crossroads to doubt or double.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
*nods* :|a

the composition of the poloroid itself reminds me of an abstract artist but I can't quite place who.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
Hurmmm that's a good point.

Regardless if it's the true thing or a fake, it's fun to tease out.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
oh, of course! if it's a fake it's a very fun one.

kalsjkasd LOL

[identity profile] lyndon-head.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
OH MY GOOOOODDD

THE INTERNET IS DIAGONAL

Also lol that's a lot of hints there.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
... hey, I have that model of blackberry :|a

[identity profile] tracing.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
lmfao totally off-topic but:

do you like it? |:

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
yes, actually! :D I named it Toaster and it has a huge Decepticon sticker on the back ^_^

It works very well.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
it was literally how I tagged this summer. I didn't dare get on LJ at work using my work computer, so I tagged from Toaster.

Also I have to pay $30 a month for internet on it x_X;

I got it only becuase there was a 2 for 1 sale and my brother and I were in dire need of new phones; my old one was five years old.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, that is sweet. And a good way to utilize it, in my opinion.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
I've got it set up so it tells me when I get an email from both my work email and the one LJ is linked to. I always know when I have tags.

... I still don't really USE that feature orz [/looks how behind she is]

But yeah it is a sporty little thing. Does AIM too. Sadly, AIM, internet, and gmail omnom the battery like mad.

[identity profile] enigmaestro.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Aaah, true. Batteries are little sneaks, dying when you need them most. Nevertheless, that's still pretty cool.

Alas, I'm a year away from a new phone of any sort. /sighs

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
I will say that Verizon has some pretty goddamn sweet deals sometimes. They get a bit desperate.

[identity profile] hisforonehour.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I spy with my little eye a DC logo hiding in the back to the left.

[identity profile] taughttolisten.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw that too! As well as the logo for Legendary Pictures, to its left.

There's hints of the Joker in the background, but he seems mostly out of the picture (literally).

[identity profile] hisforonehour.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
ba-dum CHING.

Hey, it's the Two-Face coin that's making me smile.

[identity profile] chlorodermic.livejournal.com 2009-10-04 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Sooo...a Two-face coin, doubt, 2012, something about an aquarium and a reptile, a tiger's eye, a rabbit, "willdeny/2012", green, a weird-clown-thing, and of course a green question mark...

...We need the world's greatest detective to figure this one out. .___.

I mean, it does look pretty legit for something that could possibly be viral, but there are fans out there with incredible editing/artistic skills that enjoy creating rumours to throw people out for a loop. Like that one 'viral' of Megan Fox as Wonder Woman. Not to mention the countless Harley Quinn and Riddler TDK posters I've seen. But this one looks a lot more convincing.

...yeah, I dunno. But it does make me giddy.
