Tell me, GDS, if a girl was thinking of apping James Proudstar, AKA: Warpath, AKA: Mr.-Actually, I'm-to-cool-for-codenames-so-call-me-Proudstar, but basically has not much touched an X-related comic in years, what should she read to get caught up on groovy stuff like the fact that he decided to hook up with cat ladies who used to bang Scott's dad? Or is it not worth it?

I mean. There's the new X-force book. And the uncanny run her was on. It was Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire. Then the arc after it which was basically Morlock crap and when he hooked upwith said cat lady. Then Messiah CompleX. Then the new X-force book. I can get you exact issue numbers if you want.

He's had a few uncanny x-men appearances lately, but that's just cameo wallpaper.

Well, see... I love X-Force, and it would be a shame to deprive a nearly full cast of a Jimmy... and I love Jimmy. So.

Hn. Okay. I have *some* of the Uncanny stuff, but I'll have to see if I can track down the rest. Messiah Complex is already on my hold list at work (once some grubby teenagers get done with it, LOL) and... I'll have to poke around for the new X-Force and see what I can find. Issue numbers may be helpful.

Rise and Fall would be Uncanny X-men #475-486

Then the next arc follows. Which leads RIGHT into Messiah CompleX. Which I think lasted to about issue #494. So basically Jimmy is all in this from 475-495. Then when Uncanny #500 hits he's got some random appearances in it. I think it just shows him hanging with 'Berto, though. He doesn't do anything important there.

I think the new X-force is only up to issue 21ish? 20? And it's relatively new so it shouldn't be too hard to track down.

You could also just app him from the point in canon you last left him, if you don't want him space-faring and schtupping skunk-chicks.

Well, the point I knew him last in canon was... god. I don't even remember very well. And picking a point where he's not all hung up on Terry would be better for my peace of mind, as interesting as it might make things otherwise. I figure I might as well give the new stuff a look-over and see how it sits with me. Otherwise he may end up fresh from that random vacation with Gloria in which he got that giant-ass tattoo.

Messiah Complex and X-Force Vol 3 (plus the Ain't No Dog one shot) are the most important issues development0-wise. The Uncanny stuff is pretty irrelevant minus the brief affair with Hepzibah. However, he's not been seen talking to her since pre-X-Force.

I do hope you decide to. That would be most excellent. >)

I have just loved reading all the X-Force threads, and I'm such a huge X-Force dork that is seems like a crime not to. I'm gonna read through what I've gathered up, and I will most definitely get in contact to chat about things because, yeah. They've got a LOT of history.
