Jessica likes X-23, she has kind of a stupid soft spot for kids and wants to befriend/rescue/help them all. She's not naive, exactly, but the idea of a little girl expert assassin has not occurred to her. So. She's a bit weirded out by her demeanor but not too weirded out to keep awkwardly talking. Jessica also on some level wants kids/teenagers to think of her as cool, idk.

Jessica likes Mitch a lot, even if she only halfway believes his mayor story at this point. Okay, she more than halfway believes it, but it's not really something she's comfortable interacting with. It's easier to just call him crazy!! And probably more fun.

But yeah, she'd never met anyone who quit being a super-hero before, and that is pretty cool that other people suck as much as she does. She's used to being asked everywhere why she quit and people making a big deal out of it— even her friends back home like Carol, did. So, it's nice to have someone who doesn't.

She might have bit of a crush on him but she's also half convinced he's gay. And she doesn't want to fuck things up like she always does, so she's not going to say anything. Unless she gets really drunk.
