Yeah, Koltira doesn't at all know why Lyra wants to even talk to him (or why anyone would ever, so emo), but he already feels some measure of responsibility to her (and to the other children). Azeroth is a world with a lot of orphans, and Koltira had to see his own little brother brutally slaughtered by the Scourge in front of him, so I think he does have some measure of protective instinct towards people that he feels need it. And while he can acknowledge that Lyra isn't powerless, a child is a child is a child, and children need to have at least some supervision.

He has no direct comment to Lyra or anyone else worrying about him, though in his dark and secret heart he's amazed and glad that anyone would.

XD yeah. Lyra grew up without much adult supervision, but she appreciates someone who's willing to watch over her without treating her like she's helpless.
