Oh god, she reallyreally would like Sarah to like her, and if Sarah does like her, she doesn't believe that Sarah likes her. It's a Nico thing. Basically, she's ever bit as Nice and Mom-like as Nico wishes her own mother had been, but her mom was an evil witch and there's not a lot that can be done about that.

Meeting Sarah explained a lot about why Teddy is the way he is.

Sarah does actually like Nico. They haven't interacted very much, but Sarah generally trusts Teddy's judgment so she thinks that Nico is probably a pretty cool girl.
