Jason reminds him a lot of the Tim from his world, which is both good and bad. On hand, it means he worries about what may happen to Tim (though arguably, what DOES happen is worse), whether he'll become like this, but on another token, it gives him hope for Jason. He knows that the Batman from Jason and Tim and Selina's world wouldn't have chosen Jason to be Robin if he didn't have potential, not just to do what Robin needed to do, but to be a hero. He still sees that in Jason, still sees that in a way, Jason wants to be a hero, wants to save lives, wants justice. On one hand, he knows that because of what Batman means to Jason, he feels responsible for him, feels like he has to be the one to pull Jason back from that dark place he's entered into... but sometimes he wonders to himself if someone like Clark, someone with genuine hope, wouldn't better be able to show Jason this isn't the way.
