yes see that was the thing! characterwise the Strangers are like OOOOH SHINY and yes REALLY INTERESTING TO WRITE but it's hard when you remove them from their environment and strip them of that motivation then i was like NO OKAY I'LL JUST APP THE ACCORDING PLAYING WILLIAM HURT INSTEAD cause. sob.


YOU AND MY SISTER WOULD GET ALONG SHE LOVES THE SURREALISTS TOO they were always my least favorite but that's because maybe i studied specifically photography at school and it was like like YAY MANRAY YAY HANS BELMER and i was always like /shudder belmer your poupees sob. THE EXHIBIT WAS like CREEPY TO THE Nth DEGREE BUT THAT'S BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS ALL THE MORE SURREAL AND VISCERAL AND THERE WAS A LOT OF HAIR INVOLVED AND THINGS IN BOXES AND BODYPARTS

See, this is the same reason why I'd find it difficult to play Agent Smith, because it's like...... oh, so our experiment isn't here..... and so we have no purpose..... mmmky. FUCK YES, BODYPARTS. My opinion on modern art is that if it doesn't make me uncomfortable in some way, it's no good, which makes me sound a little crazy, maybe, but no more crazy than people who like horror movies, etc etc.

YOU KNOW WHAT I ACTUALLY TOTALLY RESPECT THAT OPINION i don't think you sound crazy at all. a lot of the modern art that i enjoy does the same thing and the stuff i respond strongest and therefore enjoy DOES usually end up making me uncomfortable. JUST. aaaaaaa there's something very SPECIFIC about the way surrealist art gets me to respond that is just /HEEBIE JEEBIES
