Personally, while I'm a bit dubious on "Siege" itself, I am totally down with "Siege: Embedded," which is Ben Urich and Bill Stern hiding Volstagg in the back of their news van on a road trip to Broxton. Well, she died. But then she came back to life, but their marriage was dissolved because of the death certificate. And it turned out, before she died, she was planning on getting a divorce.

So, at the end of a series of events, they decided to date again and/or take it slow. But sometimes they refer to themselves as married.

Well, except that she didn't die, she just got abducted by the Skrulls shortly after she decided she was going to want a divorce. The Skrull copy is the one who died. Does the death certificate count if the real person isn't actually dead?

According to the mini, yeah, the marriage is pretty not-there. (And really, Bucky would know things about being legally dead, so I trust him.) She was legally dead, and that's what counts. Think about a soldier who's been missing for a decade— it's not really fair to say his wife can't remarry when it doesn't seem like there's any hope of coming back.
