(no subject)

I am making another 'tell me what to app' poll because C&C needs more polls.

[Poll #1561041]

[livejournal.com profile] reluctantreaper from the short lived series Dead Like Me. George Lass is the main character, a newly dead girl who learns that instead of moving on like she thought, she has been given the job of reaper. One of many. She works in the External Influence division, ie. accidents, homicides, suicides, and other (and I do mean other) by making sure the souls of the dead get their lights. Given her otherworldly traits, most supernatural characters should recognize her (the Endless may pick her up as a human soul now carrying some of Death's power). Her powers would consist of being able to remove someone's soul from their body (ala this clip from the show) and a natural sense of when someone will die (or if they're already dead).

[livejournal.com profile] objectiondenied from the Ace Attorney series. He's been here before and I made a big dramatic thing of dropping him. Due to a lot of different things, some them including the fact that I was no longer playing him for myself. His power set would be relatively the same as last time, so the accelerated healing ala Wolverine and his ridiculous pyrokinetics. On top of that, he'll also come in with his magatama again, which sort of act as a lie detector by revealing the chains and locks that protect secrets hidden inside people's hearts.

[livejournal.com profile] notquiteidol from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Angel). This is actually two characters in one because I originally played him from season two and struggled with having a villain here for a variety of reasons. So, there's also the possibility that I'll bring him in from season seven (the early episodes). This would mean a few things. He'd have his soul, which means a lot of waffling and guilt about his last few hundred years of existence, the trigger from the First (an old lullaby), and he'd also be a crazy thing that leans against giant crosses. It's possible that I may have the First continue to hold an influence over him (sort of like the wall and Nny), but unable to actually do anything but puppeteer him.

[livejournal.com profile] givetobehuman from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I'm actually more comfortable and have a better time playing Data from the series where he does not have the emotion chip. He is an android (who looks human) and given the rules of the game, would simply stay that way, which pretty much makes him a walk/talking computer, which would give him some ability to manipulate technology here, including the communicators. Given that he has built an android similar to himself with the capability to feel emotions, his skills are pretty high.

[livejournal.com profile] steelobjections from the Ace Attorney series. He's Phoenix Wright's protege, but worked for Kristoph Gavin before that. He's a serious kid who lives for needless procedure and would likely pick right up with Phoenix's work in the City without even hesitating. He was in the City before, but being played by someone else. Powers would be something similar to the Voice ala Dune, which would mean that if he shouts something ("Stop!") a person is more likely to actually obey or at least give him their full attention.

I'm saying Phoenix Wright out of purely selfish reasons - wanting a defense attorney for the Thundercracker trial. :)

[identity profile] steelobjections.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Apollo is also a defense attorney. Or rather, he's one that wasn't out of practice for seven years. XD

[identity profile] yippiekiyay.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Then consider it a vote for either/or! I'm obviously completely unfamiliar with the series. :)

[personal profile] spiritgun 2010-05-06 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
DO IT. IT WOULD BRING ME GREAT JOY.

[identity profile] notquiteidol.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
But which version? Season two would be evil and obsessed with Dru and season seven would be crazy and obsessed with Buffy.

[personal profile] spiritgun 2010-05-06 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It really is a hard pick. I...am torn. Because I love season two Spike and how unashamedly evil he was. But I also enjoyed his character development in the later seasons.

I think what it comes down to is which you think would be more fun for you to play?

[identity profile] notquiteidol.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Considering playing him as villain led to a number of difficulties that were pretty irritating. Probably seven if only because crazy is always fun to play.

Data would require a new icon set, because the ones he has now suck and make me unhappy.

I initially misread that as "Re-app George Lucas" and was very disturbed.

GEORGGGGGEEE.

[personal profile] natureinblood 2010-05-06 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my god, someone voted for George. /felt bad for even putting her up there because she got all ignored and everything

[identity profile] supergabbie.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I love George. :( And I just rewatched the movie last weekend. So I totally would love a George here, for real.

[identity profile] reluctantreaper.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
George would be fun, but I'm worried about being able to actually keep her voice again. I think I psyched myself out on the whole "I can't play women" thing.

[identity profile] supergabbie.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe canon-review again before apping? That usually helps me a lot with characters from media, because hearing the voice jumpstarts it.

[identity profile] reluctantreaper.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no matter who I app, they're getting a canon review first.

[identity profile] supergabbie.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
*FINGERS CROSSED FOR GEORGE*
