What're You Listening To?

Hey CnC. I'm just wondering what music/album/song you're listening to at the moment. Right now, I'm listening to a cover of Duran Duran's "Hungry Like the Wolf", which I'm pretty sure is the only song anyone remembers by Duran Duran.

In the information section there's a link for MP3 download... just follow the directions.

*slowly consumes C&C with human covers of vocaloid songs*

ahahahaha you are not helping my trying to break away from my small vocaloid addiction. Mind you, the company I hang out with doesn't help that either...:D

Human vocal cover.

It's not so strange for it to be odd, I think, if you're used to hearing it one way. I know after I heard this version a few times, I checked out the original vocaloid version and it really raised my hackles for being wrong, even though I usually don't have that sort of reaction to that style of music.

Well, humans manipulating technology, at any rate. When the vocaloids start writing their own songs, then I'll worry.

I KNOW uidkjflerj one of these days I'm going to track down her other songs, but for now, uh.

I'm just going to continue looping this for the rest of the weekend, oi.

I don't understand vocaloid, though! isn't it just a software? how is there a...fandom around it? (also, I'm so curious to know what the original non-human vocaloid version is like now!)

Vocaloid is a synthesized vocal software, yeah. Each "voice" software has a different visual mascot, so what happens a lot of time is when people make vocaloid songs, someone else animates a music video for them—thus, fandom, apparently.

Uh, I think the original vocaloid version of this song is the "GUMI" one? It's weeeeeird in comparison.
