What does your character sound like? Or, if they don't have a voice actor, how do you imagine them sounding? I think we had a post like this back in April, but I am forever curious. :> Linking to clips is fine.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE DUB VERSION OF RIFUL'S VOICE SO I CANNOT SAY BUT IN THE ANIMU SHE IS VOICED BY NANA MIZUKI AND I JUST KIND OF PRETEND SHE HAS SOME HIGH-PITCHED LITTLE-KID VOICE THAT IS KIND OF LIKE THAT... Lust, however, I totally do have a shitton of Laura Bailey dubvoice clips for! Unfortunately none of them are visible if you do not live in the US, unless you actually want me to like, dig up the hideous first anime clips or something idk. And I will stick with that voice forever because... it's really hot okay and I'm shallow. It's smoove like butta and very seductive, and by seductive I mean phonesexy even when she's getting stabbed in the face, but also pretty cool (AS IN COLD NOT AS IN FONZIE) and dangerous. BOTH OF MY CHARACTERS ARE FAKE!BRITISH. Baltar's accent is supposedly Caprican (although... no one else has it) and Katurian speaks with an American accent despite his occasional britishisms, because that's how they had it in the production I saw. Since he's in a nonexistent country (my headcanon is that it's also in the future), I figure the mash-up makes sense.

ANYWAY: This is a good example of Gaius. I base Katurian's sound off several actors, more specifically these three guys. (Warnings for non-graphic, but still disturbing violence in the last one.)

The Major's voice is truly something special, particularly in the English dub. It is just brimming with insanity and viciousness and the most twisted, exuberant joy; I love it. When I write him, this is what I hear in my head and what I try to emulate in the tags.

Hiei's dub voice...is not actually that different from his Japanese voice because funimation often makes how similar to the original VA a person sounds part of the hiring process. Here's a short clip:

Seras' is British, and most likely from London. Of course this means everyone assumes she has some kind of East End accent, and that is how the dubbed her. However I've always heard her in my head as sounding like she was from the west London instead. The east end just felt a little rough sounding for her, at least to me it does.
