olesia is incapable of interesting subject titles

So hey guys! Perhaps it's just because I'm up to my eyeballs in bleach fumes right now, or my cup runneth over with excitement over these nearly-thirty reserves for this impending application round (you guys every name on this list is beautiful), but I can't write tags to save my life and am instead going to harass you guys. I have no regrets!

Instead of anything useful, here is a question for you:

if your character were in charge of what username you used for their journal, what would they pick, and why?
How would they react to the one they currently have?

Alternately: if there are any other journal names you wished you'd used instead, what are they? And feel free to suggest horrible renames to everyone else.

Why no I'm not using this as a launching board for renaming one of my character accounts, not in the slightest
(I am terrible at lying)

Zee would want [livejournal.com profile] mskatonic. She's such a nerd. :(

I wish I'd have gone with [livejournal.com profile] snoitatnacni, just because it's slightly easier to spell.

Apparently the owner of mskatonic renamed to ms_katonic and didn't delete the original version. What a dick, taking up both those names. :|

You can rename your account and have it link to the new one, BUT you have the option of having it purged so others can use it!

I also like this option because it's usually true.

Zee actually says each word backwards rather than the full sentence, so like, "I like cupcakes" would be "I ekil sekacpuc," and not "sekacpuc ekil I," though a few writers get it wrong. Also, it's not your fault. It looks just like crazypeople jargon. And knowing me, it could very well be.

I didn't know until I renamed to [livejournal.com profile] tamerlane. I wanted [livejournal.com profile] shadowpact (and if it's ever purged I AM SO ON THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW), but Tamerlane was too lovely to resist.

Ms. Katonic was a stage name she used. It's a reference to Lovecraft's fictional Miskatonic University. Because she's a geek. c:

It's okay. I do that a lot, myself. I can't think of any instances, but I'm sure it wouldn't take very long to come up with any.

I just want to jump in and say that to this very day, even though I know the meaning of Zee's journal name, I still try to pronounce it every time I see it. It's like burnt onto my brain to go "oh hey look it's ess dee rawk cab see gam" even though that's crazy and makes no sense.

I do it, too. Like, I can't look at the bottom of my screen because LJ Login will have it there and mentally I'll be pronouncing it in my head a few different ways. :(

We can be crazy together (good morning, have some Greek strawberry-honey yogurt and granola with me~).

I love your SN for her, even if I have to verify the spelling every time I try to remember it

My brain doesn't spell gud backwurds

I'm at the point where I don't have to. Like, I can type whole sentences with ease and almost as fast backwards. :(

It's okay. Not everyone is meant to be a magician.
