olesia is incapable of interesting subject titles

So hey guys! Perhaps it's just because I'm up to my eyeballs in bleach fumes right now, or my cup runneth over with excitement over these nearly-thirty reserves for this impending application round (you guys every name on this list is beautiful), but I can't write tags to save my life and am instead going to harass you guys. I have no regrets!

Instead of anything useful, here is a question for you:

if your character were in charge of what username you used for their journal, what would they pick, and why?
How would they react to the one they currently have?

Alternately: if there are any other journal names you wished you'd used instead, what are they? And feel free to suggest horrible renames to everyone else.

Why no I'm not using this as a launching board for renaming one of my character accounts, not in the slightest
(I am terrible at lying)

I never ended up playing her (I decided on Faris from FF5 instead HELL YEAH MAN), but I was either going to use [livejournal.com profile] seekingly or [livejournal.com profile] expiscating for my Terra. c:

YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T WANT EITHER ONE, but if you did, I would be happy to delete them for a rename or just give 'em to you.

(DAT BITCH GOES [livejournal.com profile] searoving, AWW YEAH.)

I was going to take her from sometime around mid-game, since I was like FFFFFFFFFFFFF SCREW THIS SHIT and couldn't navigate Kefka's Tower (therefore have never beat the game because I kept getting lost like I do with RL directions) and they were sort of inspired by ~trying to find out who she was and feelings etcetcetcetec and stuff~

Also, I'm uncreative and could never come up with a delightful username like yours.

(ALL THE GOOD PIRATE NAMES ON LJ ARE TAKEN BY ME. SORRY. :/)

Not that the second half of the game is full of suck or anything. I just think it's more interesting to explore what we didn't get to see. MAN IT WAS EVEN WORSE ON THE GBA VERSION, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T USE IT ON A DS. I almost did it once on the SNES version but I died and then I never figured it out again.

R-REALLY? I like it. :(

(GOOD, BECAUSE MOST OF THEM ARE IN USE FOR SOMEONE HURR)

Man, IV, V, and VI have had such radically different translations -- especially V, in terms of speech patterns. I think that's part of the reason you don't really see characters from that game (also there weren't as many characters).

Maybe you should do it more and see if it happens, then!

There is nothing wrong with that. Lmao, it's been a while, but I still laugh at the WHY HER NAME IS TERRA INSTEAD OF TINA but I don't complain much because I like the name Terra better than Tina.

Yeah. I was more into VI than IV back in the day, but eventually I came to love IV more (even though the final dungeon was really hard HNNGHFGH). I had a Sega CD before SNES, though, so I wasn't a cool kid (even if Lunar is still way better than FF yeah i went there i don't care).

Yeah there... is that. Since that's the reason she does change. :/ It's only natural for her to associate it with keelan.

Nnn, at the same time it's still sort of obnoxious that they changed it just for those reasons, too? Like lmao Edge and Edward and IV. It's like they couldn't think of a better name for Edward and were just WELL HERE'S A PERFECTLY GOOD NAME NOT BEING USED.........

But that I will always give thumbs up to. I love early 90s and 80s fantasy names (video games or otherwise) just because they're all so redonkulous.
