(For the record, I do not disapprove! I trusted Nolan's casting for the last movie and wasn't disappointed at all. Also, Hathaway looks a lot like Adam Hughes' Selina.)

My initial reaction was that I hadn't thought of her as a candidate for the role! Then that she looks the part and that my friend said she TOTALLY stole Love And Other Drugs (which I have yet to see) so she has the chops. And then that I trust Nolan's casting and this would probably be the Heath Ledger reaction all over again.

Yeah, I trust Nolan's casting capabilities. I might have only seen three of his movies (both Batman movies and Inception) but he seems to have the right mind when it comes to picking actors and actresses who have great acting chops and chemistry with one another. I haven't seen Love And Other Drugs, but even though I heard that the movie was 'meh', I also heard that Anne was brilliant and I'm confident in her acting ability.

I mean, looking at her I do not have an instant "OMG she's the perfect Selina Kyle" reaction, but, and this is coming from the chosen design for the Joker, Nolan doesn't go for 'looks the part exactly' approach like some directors do, but whether or not they could act the part.

For some reason I'm just having a difficult time imagining her wearing a Catwoman costume. Trying to figure out why exactly that is, but yeah, you're right. X)
