I just thought I'd throw this up quick since we have a lot of artists, writers and comic fans in the comm...

Womanthology is an all-female comics anthology that's been getting a fair amount of press for its Kickstarter campaign. There are 140+ contributors, both unpublished talent and some pretty well-known names (Gail Simone, Ann Nocenti, Fiona Staples, Ming Doyle, etc etc etc). All profits will be going to charity, which is why they need a Kickstarter even though IDW is publishing it.

Since the pledges have already blown past the amount needed to print the anthology, the organizer (Renae De Liz who did the art for The Last Unicorn comic) is looking at doing a second volume most likely with both male and female contributors. There is a secondary creator list being put together here both for a future volume and in case any contributors for Womanthology have to step down for whatever reason. Just wanted to share for all the writers and artists here who are interested in doing comics to have a chance to throw their names in too :)

There's also a couple pledge spots in the Kickstarter to have your art portfolio reviewed by the Editor in Chief of IDW Publishing. $100 IS cheaper than going to SDCC, I suppose...

To brighten everyone's day a little, footage that actually makes the Green Lantern movie look kind of awesome.

...and likes messing with fashiony clothes-type things, Looklet is pretty fun.

So this week's Gotham City Sirens wasn't particularly well-written. However, this scene was pretty amusing anyway.

Okay, I know it's well established in canon that Selina likes older men, but we've hit a new record.



That is Jason Blood. He's been alive since the days of Camelot. Yeah...

From Wednesday Comics, where Selina had wacky magical adventures that included turning into a panther, getting molested by Morgane, and a possession via fly swarm. Even for her, that's a weird date.

So who here is good at editing the background out of photos? Normally I'd just use another image, but it isn't every day you find a PB wearing an exact canon outfit.

Relevant to the upcoming date auction: in the DCAU, that's how Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne actually met!



That scene starts about 4:50, but the scene before it is the first meeting of Batman and Catwoman, so that's kind of totally worth watching too.

As for regular comic continuity? If you ask Frank Miller, they met when she was a whore that he punched in the face :|
