Relevant to the upcoming date auction: in the DCAU, that's how Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne actually met!
That scene starts about 4:50, but the scene before it is the first meeting of Batman and Catwoman, so that's kind of totally worth watching too.
As for regular comic continuity? If you ask Frank Miller, they met when she was a whore that he punched in the face :|
P.S. DCAU!Selina is actually a natural brunette. She admitted to coloring her hair in the spinoff comics.
