HALP

So. Need to buy a stylus for work. Co-worker has a Wacom Bamboo Pen, he likes it, I'm wondering if there's something better. Since I know there's some peeps here that use them with some regularity...

...any suggestions?

And because that was boring, have a grabby hands gif.

Oh.

Yeah no that looks like just your normal bamboo tablet.

I don't know as much about bamboo as I do about some others. Bamboo is pretty basic, if you're planning on doing much at all in the srs bsns art sort of vein I'd suggest sliding over to ebay probably and checking out intuos instead. They cost more but are nicer (intuos is what I have and it is my baby and I love it). Cintiq are only for the srs of the srs who also have boatloads of cash that they can fritter wildly away at the drop of an occasion so you really shouldn't worry about them, even if they're amazing and I want one.

But yeah. Bamboo pen tablet or intuos should do you fine, depending on what you're planning to do with it. I'm about 90% sure that olesia has a bamboo or maybe bamboo fun tablet; you could ask her for some more details. Or here's my suggestion, go and youtube it. See it in action, see some reviews, check out if that's what you think you want/need.

It's not for major work, just marking up documents, adding the obligatory LOOK HERE marks on presentations, maybe the occasional doodle.

A guy at work who does similar work suggested the Bamboo, but I know the IT dept is going to want a price comp because they're CHEAP.
