Keith stood on one side of the door, and Blue stood on the other.
"Why are you here, Keith Anyan?" Blue finally said.
Keith steadied himself, taking a moment to think before he chose his words. He almost always did that now. It could be very hard, deciding on his own what to say. Even when, as in this case, he already knew what it was going to be. "There's something about the Mu I need to learn."
"Everything about the Mu," Blue said.
Keith shook his head. "There isn't time. I..." His bangs fell over his eyes. Slowly, carefully, he pushed them back. "I need to know how the Mu keep their hair in such good shape."
Blue looked at him.
"I always had mine cut according to regulations," Keith said. "Matsuka never needed to. I..." He faltered. "If you could show me how. I want to know. If you'll trust me with the knowledge."
"That's...not one of my abilities," Blue said carefully.
"Oh," Keith said.
