Ali's turn to ask a question! :)
Who are your character's love interests? Do they have one true love in their canon? A series of failed relationships and angry exes? Have they sworn off love entirely? Do they have the hots for someone in the City?
Yeah, so basically feel free to tl;dr on the subject on canon and City love interests! If I get bored later, I might even make a chart showing about it!

All right, so. In general, I have often held the view that Trowa is the sort of person who can't be bothered with finding love-type relationships 99% of the time; if he is drawn into one or is given reason by someone else to think about what one would be like, he'll show as much interest as he can given his emotional state at the time, but being a Sanji is always completely out of the question. Also, I don't think he has any particular give-a-damn as far as who's packing what parts.
Canonly, I don't think he had enough emotional freedom (or maturity) at the time that he knew Midii to really become quite as attached to her as she did him, or that what he did manage was in the same sense. Perhaps with a lot more time under his belt, yes. Unfortunately, she betrayed the hell out of him, and I can't see him wanting anything to do with her for a long, long time afterward. It was, I think, doomed to fail from the start. However, some minor good did come out of that, as far as shaking up his world.
I do mostly ship Trowa and Quatre in canon, and there's enough of me babbling about that in various places over the past few years to fill a minor book. If someone doesn't remember any of said babbling, I suppose I could dig up some old stuff and add new things, but for now that'll do.
In the City, he did have a brief and unrequited interest in Abby (Cloud 9) before realizing she was with Jaime and forever assigning her the position of good friend. Eventually, he got pulled into a relationship with Quatre, which he stayed in for some 1.5 years? They were good for each other, taught each other a lot, and then there's a lot more babble that goes here that I've also spread around GDS/the game itself, and honestly we played so much stuff together I could spend the better part of a day typing and not cover everything that relationship affected. However, the Major was a constant thorn in their side and so for a while, Trowa tried to push Quatre away to keep him from being hurt.
He discovered shortly after that a long-time friend of his, Hiruma, had a thing for him, and so decided to try that out. It worked pretty well, and there were definitely differences between the two guys that intrigued him, but he'd never actually lost his feelings toward Quatre. He split to stop Hiruma from having to be in the unfair position of Always Second and eventually he and Quatre returned to the way they were (just before being Exported for good).
Now that he's back as a child, and there's a Midii in-game, we have an extremely interesting opportunity to play something new that doesn't have the limitations that made it a bust in canon. As he will get to know Midii at age 6 rather than age 10, he will be able to form a friendship with her long before he becomes too hardened by life as a soldier, and does not know what she did (in her past)/will do (in his future), meaning that there is nothing to get in the way of said friendship.
Once he's eventually updated to 10 and before the betrayal, he'd be older and tougher, but with a backlog of memories and feelings from when he was City-6, which would modify his behavior a great deal. He'd also be old enough to be able to return any attentions she'd pay him in that sense, if he felt like it, and still not have been betrayed. Any updates beyond that would be a delightful little gamble, since that would finally involve all the horrible parts of his Episode Zero days going down, and all the anger/goawayihateyou/argh but I have memories of liking you/fuck my life would pile on like a highway full of 18-wheelers heading into oncoming traffic.
Which would be fun. :)
Still, I don't intend to plan too far ahead, because where's the fun in that? As it stands, he's just a stunted six year old kid with a girl for a good friend and too many dangerous adult influences.
