Imagine a world just like the one in which the City resides, except everything is ever so slightly...off. One degree, one minor shift in reality, that alters everything. Changes lives, destroys cities, sets heroes down the path of villains and vice versa.

This is that world.

In short, this meme is a lead-up to an open RP, much like C&C2020. But unlike that setting, C&C-2 is in the present day on a parallel version of the C&Cverse. The AI Decima operates the Prisoner, which brings in people (the imPrisoned) from worlds that are like that of their counterparts stuck in the C&C setting, but just off by one major change in their personal history.

So, y'know, this is an alternate universe meme with setting fluff basically.

Oh right, and everyone lives in the HIVE. And the City is a smoking nuclear crater. And crime is rampant enough to make the US one gigantic lawless clusterfuck. It's not a pleasant reality if you're not an evil jerk.

NOW THAT I'VE GOT THE SET UP OUT OF THE WAY, go nuts! AU up your characters! Establish how their CR would change when instead of spending three years as a hero stuck in not-New York they spent three years as a supervillain stuck in not-LA. The open RP will be this Saturday so plenty of time for everyone to get around to this!

JAIME

• Scarab protocol kicks in and wins, much like whatever the hell is going on in the reboot is happening, except Jaime can't overcome it. He'll be plucked in while going in wild and craycray infiltrator mode.
• Still one of the longest-lasting prisoners in the dimension, he'll be one to fear, given Scarab's motive to groom the planet for slavery and destruction. There's no real man-to-man to factor in here; Jaime has absolutely no say and lost the will to fight back years ago.
• In fact, who's to say Jaime's still even alive in there? Scarab's got the power to move its host against his will...
• Shit will probably get realer once the Negotiator hits the scene, which will give Scarab someone to work under.

SOLDIER BLUE

• His awakening on Ganymede results in some major retaliation, killing hospital staff right at the getgo and fleeing capture on his own.
• He'll spend a great deal of time on the run, gradually growing in tune with his power and using it against his attackers. He became especially skilled with manipulating minds and stopping hearts.
• His aggression against mankind will continue to be in play in HIVE, where those who threaten him face a very real chance of insta-death. So long as he's left alone, he keeps to himself until he needs something.

ZELGADIS

• Never gets around to being buddy-buddy with Lina and crew. In fact, he gets his ass soundly kicked and is yoinked to HIVE immediately thereafter.
• Bitter, pressed bitch. Still desperate for that cure, willing to do nasty things to get it. Screw friends and happiness; that's all backburnered until he's fleshy again.
• Which won't happen, so that sucks. Guess who's spending a miserable existence getting played by one lying s.o.b. to the next, doing dirty work on the promise of clues to his cure? THIS GUY.

STEVE

• Never gets Mark's soul embedded in his databanks, fails to have that sparkly, happyhappy personality. So he's basically just a data-collecting android.
• But lbr this guy won't survive 10 minutes in HIVE anyway so why write this
