[terezi just laughs at her and makes herself comfortable in a pile of cloth scraps, she was totally ready for this. if there's one thing you just can't take from kanaya it's her passion for fashion.]

[ it's two minutes in the closet before she emerges with an armful of reds, blues, green, blacks, and whites. there are probably five outfits in there that she still hasn't chosen from yet. she rushes out, making a bee-line for her makeup case, scooping it up before heading into the bathroom ]

[terezi stays where she is, not wanting to get swept up in the storm that is kanaya maryam on a mission of fashion.]

[ and, forty-five minutes later, she will be all dolled-up and ready, and may have put one of the flowers in her hair ]

[yes, forty-five minutes of eye-rolling and possibly gentle heckling later, terezi hops up from her comfy reclined position and gets all up in kanaya's space to admire her getup.]

[ she stuffs a few things in her clutch and rests it in both hands in front of her ]

so anyway after a few minutes of walking they arrive at this little restaurant, which makes up for what it lacks in size with a hell of an atmosphere. it's all fancy inside, the kind of place with waiters in black aprons and fairy lights strung all over the place and candles at every table. and, lo and behold, terezi has made them a reservation. how exciting!!! she very proudly informs the fellow with the reserve book that they are party of two filed under Pyrope, at which point they are graciously thanked for their patronage and led to a table for two with a candle and lights and general excellence.

terezi is grinning at her moirail, just waiting for her to say something. isn't this just the best??? isn't terezi awesome for anticipating how long kanaya would take to dress tonight??]

[ well, that does fit easily within the purview of a seer.

kanaya, of course is beaming! speechless as she takes in the charming atmosphere, smiling with a polite nod as the waiters greet her and show them to their table.

she gets a little overwhelmed once they take their seats and it all sinks in. this is a legitimate date, like none she's ever even bothered expecting before, and didn't do anything whatsoever to solicit.

she puts a hand over her mouth as her glow starts pulsing and her eyes grow misty. she isn't used to feeling wanted. ]

anyway terezi cant stand the silence for long, and anyway she can smell the brightness, so she reaches out to take kanaya's free hand.]

What do you think? I heard the food here is really good!

It's--it's wonderful... [ her voice cracks a little ] All of it, I love it!

Uh. [ she has no idea what to get. this whole thing kind of took her by surprise, making it hard to think. ]
