Like what sort of occasions?

At times, enemies simply need to be brought to an unambiguously fatal end. When their threat cannot be otherwise neutralized, when it would mar the face of existence to leave them among the living.

I'm not familiar with that specific example, but I take it, then, that you understand the sort of situation I'm describing.

He's a fatarse little Nazi who made an army of vampires and burned down the London in my world.

That would seem to indicate a prime target for such a punishment, yes.

Though I would posit that it would be more the "army" descriptor than the vampiric state of its soldiers that would elicit some ire.

That's right. Though they were also the worst sort that could become vampires. They weren't even real vampires. They manufactured them.

Manufactured in what manner?

We didn't have all the details, but they were made artificially because we know for a fact that most of them couldn't have become vampires by being bit. They also don't have some of the abilities I do.

And just how would that even be accomplished? Was it simply logistically unsound that they might have been more traditionally converted?

Well there's sort of a requirement for becoming a vampire in my world that they didn't have and if you don't have that you just become a ghoul when bit instead.

I think I've encountered that in literature. Ghastly affair, that.

It is. There's not really anything you can do for them other than put them down.

[glowsferatu]

No hope for them to continue their own existences independently, then?

[newbvampire]

No, they're corpses under the vampires control and when the vampires dies so do they. Unless the vampire is one of the Major's freaks that is. It's one of the reasons we know they aren't normal because their ghouls keep going even after we put them down.

And their actions still determined by their Master's whim?

[newbvampire]

Not really. They just wander around and eat people.

[glowsferatu]

Simply unbridled hunger, with little thought given to anything beyond that momentary satisfaction?

[newbvampire]

They don't think at all, they're completely mindless, but yeah that's pretty much what they do.

What is it they even do, if they lack any necessity for feeding?

[newbvampire]

Terrorize people. That's what the Major used them for.

Like I said they're just corpses kept alive by a vampire.

It sounds...meaningless. A pointless and pitiable existence.

[newbvampire]

It is. All we can do is make it stop for them and let them have some peace.

[glowsferatu]

I suppose they would be not unlike a zombie in that sense.

Except for having to put a silver bullet in their head or heart, they are pretty similar.
