Oh. [Byakuroku looks down at his hands as though looking for some. They're empty, so he turns to the human(??).] What is chocolate?

It's a sweet. [A beat.] Why are you in my Hub?

I see. [That makes perfect sense, actually, and he hisses gently at the reptile, apologizing for his rudeness. Intruding in her territory without bringing a gift! Really, he'd been raised much better than this.]

I do not know. [He sways minutely, as though he were completely serpentine.] I did not come of my own volition.

The Rift, then? Huh.

[coils]

I do not know. I cannot open a way home, and I apologize for the intrusion. [He inclines his head slightly, sinking down to the floor. Now that the flying reptile had dismissed him (such a curt thing!), he had no need to be so large. His scales fold themselves into legs, and holds out his hands, having been told that this was the proper way to greet a human.]

I believe most people know it as Japan, though in my time, it has a different name. [He looks around with mild curiosity.] Is this your home?
