also wow clint has led a depressing life

but damian has dick so all is well :')

and actually clint's life is kind of funny in that the depressing points aren't what gets focus!! like, his origins have been called up a few times, but they aren't these massive looming specters for him like they are for other people, and most important things happen for him after he becomes an avenger. they certainly primed him, to have issues with authority and question everyone's intentions at every turn, but he doesn't dwell on them a lot. and that's the really refreshing thing about him.
