It can be complicated but once you figure it out it's easy!

Er...well anyone that also has one, yes. It seems to be set for a certain network and not just one to everyone in this world. As far as how far away they are they'd have to be in this world. So it wouldn't work if you wanted to talk to someone back home.

It would be better if it could talk to everyone. Even the people who didn't have them.

I know somebody who had something like this, though, except it wasn't like this at all.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Weeeeeeeeell, she had magic yin-yang orbs and left one with us when she went to investigate the underground and hell. We could talk into the orb and she could talk back!

It would be nice if it did. Would have made several things easier...

It was! We could help her out and give advice while we were in her living room eating her snacks and drinking sake. It was a lot of fun.

[Jade gives an uncomfortable laugh and shakes her head.] No...I uh, I'll pass.

[Jade's ears twitch as she adjusts her glasses.] I see.

[She looks around at their surroundings.] I don't think drinking in the middle of sidewalk like this is something you should do. I'm pretty sure cities have laws against drinking in places that aren't designated for it. Or something...

*She's already taking out the purple gourd that hangs from her side and uncorking it when Jade informs her - and she looks absolutely scandalized.* What?!

Why would anybody do something immoral like that?!

[dogwitch]

[Jade cringes and pins her ears back in response to the yelling.] Well because of children. They might get the wrong idea or something. Plus many people can't contain their alcohol and do stuff that could be a danger to everyone around them.

[pettancohol]

That's a ridiculous rule. I've been drinking for-- *A pause. She seems to be counting on her fingers. Then she shakes her head.*-- I don't even remember how long. So I wouldn't do that sort of thing at all.

[dogwitch]

Aha...well there's also the fact that you um...you don't look old enough to be drinking. That could get you in trouble too.

Well I guess I'm not as big as I used to be. Do you judge everybody's age on how they look?

[dogwitch]

[Jade's face darkens as she adjusts her glasses again.]

N...no. I'm just saying that most other people will.

Well then, if they're going to do that because I'm small, I'll just have to get bigger...!

*And so she does.

Like, ten feet bigger. Though she doesn't actually look any older.* See? See! How'll this do?!

[dogwitch]

[She gives an uneasy smile and steps away from the now much bigger oni.]

Ehe...well you're bigger... Maybe too big now. But I don't think anyone would argue with you about drinking.

[pettancohol]

Hooray! If you'd like I can get even bigger!

*And now she's taking a swig from that gourd. Luckily it grew along with her.*

[dogwitch]

[Jade quickly shakes her head.] No no. I think you're plenty big now. You're already nearly twice as tall as everyone else.

[pettancohol]

Aw, okey-doke. You're right; it's no good to get so big where you need to watch out so you don't step on people.

*So now she's shrinking back to her previous small size. And taking another gulp.* Ahhhhh, good sake~!

[dogwitch]

[She gives a small chuckle and simply nods.] Well...it's been nice talking to you but I need to see about finding my friends. Enjoy your sake!

[pettancohol]

[dogwitch]

[Jade smiles and nods.] Suika. If you ever need anything you can just use the comm. [She holds her up to show what she's referring to before she turns and starts walking.]
