We don't talk about shipping in the Type-Moon fandom. No seriously, we don't.




Now that I've gotten that out of the way, Rin is from Unlimited Blade Works which is her canon route which is designed specifically with her in mind. While I can ramble on and on about all the proof in the route, essentially it ends up becoming more about her relationship with her Servant, Archer for one reason alone: Archer is Shirou Emiya. However, unlike in the other two routes, Rin never becomes the driving force behind Shirou Emiya which essentially sets the scene.

To him, Rin Tohsaka is a girl to admire from a distance. He spazzes anytime she touches him and is quick to have wet dreams about her, yet when it comes down to romantic intentions, he doesn't show them. There's one scene in which they have to have sex in order to save the day remember this is an eroge visual novel even if the sex was just added to sell where they mutually agree to commit to the act because they care about each other. During it however he doesn't think of her emotions and even at the end, it's evident their relationship is very one-sided. She does show she cares for him multiple times throughout her route and the other ones by letting down her guard to allow him to see her true self.

In which he calls her strange for it. ヽ(　￣д￣;)ノ Rule number one of Fate: Shirou Emiya is an idiot.

Her relationship with Archer can't even be called that. They're partners and both feel as though they aren't good enough for the other. He's tied down to his self-loathing while she pursues her magecraft. If there's one thing she can claim to be in a relationship with, it's her studies. However, she does have a strong interest in Archer. After all, she made a promise to watch over that stupid boy and keep him on the right path.

Good thing she has that stupid boy here. In the City, she's not sure what to call Shirou. In one thread she comments that she has a boyfriend sorta, then quickly backpedals out of it when she realizes the sort of commitment she's making with that. When it comes to Archer, she'll claim him as her own as though he were a mere possession when she means so much more.

I WOULD LOVE TO RAMBLE MORE ON THIS TOPIC, BUT I DON'T WANT TO SEEM SHIP HAPPY. But seriously. Ask me about my Rin/Emiya feels I HAVE A BUNCH OF THEM.
