No, but that doesn't mean they aren't sentient.

If they were really sentient then they ought to know how to work better.

They have physical limitations! It's like--

They communicate on two levels. The way normal people hear them, and then what their signals say. They physically can't make themselves just work better.

So just how is it my fault, then, if they happen to break?

They don't just happen! There's a reason.

This could have all been avoided if I had a typewriter to use in the first place.

Shit, even the libraries don't have card catalogs anymore.

I can do research and make spreadsheets just fine without needing the "inter net," thank you. We've been doing both since long before its time.
