And now, giving up on trying to embed videos... My absolute favourite scene in The Wall is the sequence where the cheese just slips off of Pink's cracker completely. It's just a completely beautiful and strange portrayal of a breakdown, I get chills every time I watch it. (cw: mental illness, blood) Here.

And you can't talk about this movie without talking about the animation sequences. Empty Spaces/What Shall We Do Now? is my fave. Beautiful, terrible nightmare fuel. This is what I imagine the inside of Pink's head is like, if a psychic was ever stupid enough to look in there. (cw: brief live-action nudity, monstrous cartoon genitalia, cartoon violence.) Here.

I still am shocked that I was allowed to watch this as a kid...

This happened at the beginning of the an arc which ended in Frank scaring Henry off by threatening him with death (which was done to protect him, staying with Frank gets you dead, etc etc).

After Henry has moved on to a happier, safer life this happens.
