The problem with Nyarlathotep, though, is precisely THAT he's an elder god.
If Superman had to get nerfed, imagine how many nerfbats we're going to need for that puppy.
Admittedly, of the elder evils, he's one of the better choices, simply because he already HAS a human form, and therefore you don't run into the whole "a human form would dilute the true cosmic horror and scale he is meant to be dealt with on" issue that you'd run into with the others, but... still.
