I didn't actually watch this most recent episode of 5D's yet, and instead skimmed 2chan for out-of-context screen caps.

My world was shattered. Something very pivotal in my heart cracked and died.

AND FOR THE RECORD: THIS SERIES IS NOT A WESTERN.





SO

I WAS PANICKED. CONFUSED. WONDERING WHERE THE SPIRIT THAT VIOLENCE WAS NOT THE ANSWER WENT. UNSURE WHAT THIS MEANT FOR THE FUTURE OF THE SERIES.







and then I learned that

the guns were for playing card games on

I still really want the creator of the game to show up in C&C.

... and to be fair the one time there were characters who used guns that actually shot bullets/lasers in 5D's, they were killed/eaten by a giant spider.

when things were starting to get into GODS OF CARDS DECIDING THE FATE OF THE WORLD IN CARD GAMES

at one of the climatic battles, someone, like, maybe honda, just whispering to yuugi

'okay, so, everyone's gonna die if you lose, so, i have an idea'

'why don't you just walk over to where that guy is'

'and - stab him'

'just thinking out loud here'

This is pretty much what Honda does in the R comic, if I'm remembering right. Crazy people kidnapped Anzu and were going to try using her for some "putting this old dead guy's soul into a young female teenage body is totally what he would have wanted" ritual, so Yuugi, Jounouchi, and Honda had to go storm the tower to get her back. Along the way, Yuugi and Jounouchi played card games with people in order to get key cards, and for most of this I think Honda was of the opinion that they should just

beat them up and steal the cards come on you guys it'll be 20 times faster.



Honda is the only rational person in the group.
