The cousin that everyone really wishes wouldn't show up to gatherings, but since that's the only time they know he's still alive, no one has the heart to say it. The kids are in awe of him, the adults his age just kind of shake their heads and accept it, the elder heads of the family are Silent And Disapproving.

The elderly and slightly batty great aunt can't figure out what the fuss is all about, she thinks he's lovely just the way he is.
