My friends respect me enough to let me be with whoever I want to be with. They would have respected if you wanted to see me. Maybe they wouldn't have liked it, but who cares? You left because it was uncomfortable for you. It wasn't for my benefit.

I appreciate everything you did for me-- don't get me wrong, it saved my life-- and I really don't plan on holding a grudge over all the stuff Megan said because she was crazy, obviously. Still. Think about what you said about me someday turning my back on you and what exactly went down.

He thinks Hiruma is really smart, albeit really abrasive! He also thinks he's pretty good for Melee, and he's interested that he's so good with computers and playing the stocks! ~~He still wants him for the Initiative.~~

I wouldn't know about that either but don't worry. I don't plan on getting warped and twisted anytime soon.

Del is beyond Bruce's realm of overthinking! Which is saying something, I suppose. He knows that she isn't human and he knows that he shouldn't bother to try to understand her because she is something otherworldy. She is sweet to him, and being around her makes him feel marginally less crazy---or maybe it's just that he embraces all the ragged edges of himself when he's around her.

Melee has a lot of what she considers "girly feelings" for him, which sort of both confuses her and frustrates her. She doesn't know what to do about liking him, and she doesn't want him to think she's weak for it. But she would definitely fight for him and fight with him.

Ivy is... a touchy subject with Bruce.

He understands that deep down, she's very like him, and that the way he feels about people's lives, she feels about plants. But the difference is, she's willing to cross the line he never has and tries every day so hard not to cross.

At the same time, though, the Ivy of his world, arguably, is the one villain who was able to hurt him the most, though inadvertently. She gave him a taste of what he thought was true happiness-- to the point where he was actually ready to give up being Batman-- and then snatched it back away.

He knows that wasn't her, but that she has the potential for it, and though it's irrational and he knows it's irrational, he still harbors resentment against her for it.

Yes, she helped with Crane, and, yes, she has potential, and he's willing to offer her help, should she ever choose to follow a different path, but he's not going to do so blindly: the thorns dug deep enough the first time.
