(no subject)

I'VE GOTTEN MY COMPUTER TO STOP OVERHEATING AND BEING A GENERAL DICK

PEOPLE, TELL ME WHAT DATE LOGS I STILL NEED TO SET UP

/GOES TO SET UP CONCERT LOG WHILE I'M AT IT

ALTERNATIVELY, RECOMMEND MANGO, AS A CHANGE OF PACE FROM COMICS

I recommend:

Monster (A DOCTOR HUNTS A SOCIOPATH HE SAVED FROM DEATH WHEN SAID SOCIOPATH WAS A CHILD; EVERYONE GETS TO REGRET IT)

Billy Bat (MINDFUCKERY AND AN ANCIENT CONSPIRACY/GROUP, WITH THE MAIN CHARACTER BEING SOME SCHMUCK WHO'S JUST WORRIED ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT HE PLAGIARIZED A JAPANESE COMIC)

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (HYPER KARATE BETWEEN SUPER BUFF AND SUPER FABULOUS DUDES -Part 1 is slow to get going but is AWESOME when it does, Part 2 is the best, Part 3 is the most well known, and from there on, well, you probably should start from the earlier parts, really)

Dorohedoro (SUPERVIOLENT ROMANCE MURDER CUTENESS HILARITY, IT IS FUCKING HARD TO DEFINE)

Blue Heaven, Jiraishin, Tetsuwan Girl (BASICALLY ANYTHING BY TAKAHASHI TSUTOMU, TRUST ME)

BLAME! (NEAR INCOMPREHENSIBLE PLOT MADE MORE INCOMPREHENSIBLE BY ALMOST TOTAL LACK OF DIALOG, MADE TOTALLY AWESOME BY THE ART)

Kaiji (THIS REALLY FITS MORE UNDER ANIMU - SUPER DEPRESSING GAMBLING CHALLENGES TO GET OUT OF CRUSHING DEBT)

Akagi (ALSO ANIMU -CRAZY MAHJONG GAMBLING BY DEMON TEENAGER WHO DRIVES CARS OVER CLIFFS)

Liar Game (MORE LIGHT HEARTED GAMBLING CHALLENGES TO GET OUT OF CRUSHING DEBT)

Franken Fran (LIKE THE TWILIGHT ZONE, BUT WITH A MORALLY CHALLENGED ADORABLE FRANKENSTEIN GIRL SURGEON WHO HAS REALLY TWISTED IDEAS OF SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS PRESENTED TO HER)

BioMeat: Nectar (WORLD HUNGER IS CURED BY TINY CREATURES THAT ARE EASILY MADE AND EAT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING; CLEARLY NOTHING CAN GO WRONG WITH THIS)

Maka Maka (THE ONLY LESBIAN SMUT YOU CAN PROBABLY FIND THAT HAS HEART, WARMTH, AND ACTUALLY ACCURATELY DEPICTED SEX, BEING A MESH OF AWKWARD AND FUNNY)

I AM GOING TO GIVE THE SHIFT KEY A REST FOR NOW

Ever since he started ignoring Gai's and Lee's existence I dropped that manga sob ... sob

Man Rock Lee was pretty much the only bearable thing in that comic, how could he.

[identity profile] itwontbuzz.livejournal.com 2009-12-13 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Because the lesson that he and his teacher taught about hard work became obsolete in a manga about magical power ups and chosen ones :(

:( fuck that shit, give them a spin off

Naruto I disliked from the get go, I tried to give it a chance, but I lost interest after the first major arc with the guy that looked like a chick, pretty much. Do the black people look like black people, though, or do they look like everyone else but just shaded?

Bleach I liked somewhat more than Naruto, but I lost interest about like 8 volumes in or something. Now it doesn't even have the WTF LOL factor of checking in on it like I do with Naruto once in a blue moon (last time I checked in was because I heard about Naruto giving the smack down to Sakura's love confession).

Bleach and Naruto had terrible pacing so the only thing bearable was if you liked their big casts

then their big casts were all reduced to stock reactions and had no focus other than main character repetition and relationship drama and power ups so no one cares about em anymore :'D

to be honest i find the best shonen jump/shonen series are the humor ones

and kekkaishi
and maybe law of ueki for the cuteness of it

but man no shonen series can beat gintama and/or sket dance for me holy shit

One Piece has a good mix of humour and action, which I love.

Gintama is pretty good, too, but I get bored with it after awhile, then go back and read more. I only can take spastic series in small doses like that before I get a headache. But I do like that series.

I like the anime more than the manga because i really can't pay attention to the manga at all.

but definitely look into Sket Dance because it's so well-balanced between touching stories and funny, adorable ones it's really good.

And yes, I do adore me some One Piece mainly because you know it's not there to be omgsrsbzns all the time and it's just good, clean fun

KIND OF LIKE LAW OF UEKI
