[Troy's not really used to being led around by girls, so he'll just go with it, trailing along until they find a space, and turning towards her, offering out a hand.]

I only know a waltz. That's cool, right?

[She takes his hand, and steps easily into position.]

Of course. Lead the way, Troy.

Right. Cool.

[It's clearly just a stroke of luck that a waltzy song is on the go. Or maybe it's his special influence or some crap. Either way, he's shifting his hands into position- up high and not around her waist, kthx- and leading into a steady waltz, glancing briefly down at his footing before getting the confidence up to look to her.]

[She follows like a good girl, though a little smile flicks over her lips when she feels his hands not on her waist. But he has a girlfriend, and she doesn't want to seem like that type of person.]

You're good at this.

[He doesn't even lower his hand for his girlfriend, not usually. It's Disney, he has to keep his hands to himself when he can. Well, not unless it's off screen, bb, unfunf.]

You too. Really good. I had to practice way too much. [See, he's gotta keep his gaze at her eyes, otherwise he'll start looking down at other aspects.]

[Oh, Disney. How we love you and your attempts at propriety.]

There is nothing wrong with practice, you know. [She returns the gaze straight-on, doing her best to help him out I guess. But in that dress it's kind of hard.]

I guess so. So long as you do good by the end of it.

[It's really, really hard to focus with that dress, and hey, his arm aches so maybe if he just lowers it slightly it'll be fine.]

So long as you are satisfied, you mean. [There she goes correcting him. Bad Scathach.

She cocks an eyebrow at the lowered hand, but says nothing.]

Uh, yeah, that too.

[He's not brilliant with words unless he's singing them. He is, however, good with actions, even if he's not to subtle with them. But he's totally being all smooth about having his hand at her waist as he leads her around the dance floor.]

[She keeps following, though doesn't stop the conversation.]

Have you practiced singing, much?

[Thankfully he's good enough at the waltz by now that he can talk and dance at the same time, even if he does very occasionally glance down to check ~~her legs~~ his footing is right.]

Eh, kinda. I sing still. I dunno about practicing it though.

[She pretends he's actually making sure he's leading correctly, because she's discreet.]

I would think that every time you sing for yourself, it would be considered practice.

[Because he is checking if he's leading correctly, duh. His eyes never stray. Shush.]

You think? I'm kinda being lazy about the control side of stuff though.

[Right, right. And she looks at him, raising an eyebrow.]

I could help you, perhaps.

Oh, yeah? You got experience with crazy singing?

[He's arching an eyebrow right back at her.]

[A grin, showing her fangs.]

No, but I have experience with other crazy things.

[Well hey, that's one way to get his attention.]

Y'know, you really shouldn't show a guy those when he's got no where to run.

[She laughs lightly, and then gives him her mischievous eyes.]

That's exactly when I want to give them.

So, you're like a vampire or whatever? A hot one?

[Troy can't get past the mental images of Dracula or Twilight. Hot lady vamps are rare.]

[She cocks her eyebrow at the term "hot," but shrugs a little as they dance.]

A vampire, yes. But my hotness is a subjective thing, I guess.

[Yeah, he's just not going to mention the hot thing anymore because that was kind of a mistake in the first place. He'll blame it on trying to concentrate on dancing.]

Oh, dude, you don't want my blood, do you? I kinda like it where it is.

[Lies. She presses her lips into a thin line, and gives him a firm look.]

I am a vegetarian. I do not drink blood--not now, not ever.

[Ffs, don't mention lips. He's already got enough things he's meant to be ignoring.]

From a dude in my position, I gotta say that's really good to hear.

[She isn't even doing anything except enjoying herself. Very much.]

I figured.

[But he's doing everything. Well, everything he can not to look at legs, chest, lips and hips and whatever other areas. Fuck his hormones.]
