WRITING MEME all caps mean it's exciting

HEY JERKFACES
Remember that one time someone posted a writing meme and we all wrote stuff and we read them and it was good?

LET'S HAVE ANOTHER WRITING MEME

I'm sleepy so I'm not making this pretty, plus I hate you guys, you deserve nothing pretty. The run down of this classic meme I have chosen:

1) OPEN UP YOUR MUSIC PLAYER PUT IT ON SHUFFLE
2) FIRST FIVE SONGS THAT COME UP USE THEM TO WRITE FIVE STORIES INVOLVING CNC
3) I WAS TRYING TO MAKE MINE IN UNDER 200 WORDS, BUT I DON'T REALLY CARE HOW LONG YOU MAKE IT
4) THEY CAN BE SEPARATE, THEY CAN BE 5 PARTS OF A WHOLE STORY, THEY CAN BE ABOUT ONE CHARACTER OR ONE FOR EACH OF YOUR CHARACTERS, WHATEVER STRIKES YOU.
5) POST
6) READ

Okay. How does that sound? Excellent. Get to work.

Gypsy lady you're a mircle work for me
You set my soul free like a ship sailing on the sea
She is the sunlight when skies are grey
She treats me so right lady take me away

Rikku stared at the communicator, clearing her throat a few times. It seemed as if the network had been having a rather hard time lately, and it seemed like making some people smile would be the best medicine.

Now, in Spira, before Sin had been defeated, people weren't really all that in to being cheered up. There was just too much sadness all around for anyone to, well, be really happy. But then it had been defeated, the Eternal Calm had come, and people had been genuinely smiling for the first time in so long. But then, two years later, Vegnagun had come, and that had sent people to frowning again. She hadn't liked that, not one bit. And so it had been her job--no, her duty--to fix that. And she had, her and her friends.

And now she was in the City, and people were still frowning. There was definitely something wrong about that, but if she had done it twice before, she could do it again! The blonde girl grinned widely, stepping back as the camera began recording.

Dressed in her Songstress dress sphere, she pointed to the camera and winked.

"I think it's about time we brought a little sunshine into this city, yeah?"

And maybe it's a little too early
To know if this is gonna work
All I know is you're sure looking
Good in my shirt
lyrics. (http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/urban-keith/you-look-good-in-my-shirt-9460.html)

The white cotton was a bit more rough against her skin than the clothing she had been wearing lately, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Just different.

All of this was different, really. She had dressed in men's clothing more times than one; after all, back in the day, not many armies had been willing to accept female warriors, even if she was the Warrior to whom they prayed. Used to, anyway. Things had changed over the years, and she knew there was no way to stop it; not that she would have, since such advancement was the natural way of things. She had known that the legends and myths about her would fade eventually, but it was still as if a part of her was missing.

By some twist of fate though, it seemed as if she'd been able to fill the gap a bit. Grass green eyes flicked back over to the bed, where Alex lay sleeping. The redhead tugged on the sleeve of the shirt, fingering the material delicately, as if it could fall apart in her hands. It was fragile, like rice paper, like a human life. Like almost everything in the world.

But then, sometimes, things surprised you with their durability.

A small smile slid on to her lips, her bare feet padding across the hardwood as she opened it to head towards the kitchen. She was ravenous, and there had to be something else to sate her newfound appetite.

EW DON'T READ THIS EITHER

Oh, just when you think you're in control
Just when you think you've got a hold
Just when you get on a roll
Oh here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again
lyrics. (http://www.metrolyrics.com/here-it-goes-again-lyrics-ok-go.html)

It had been nearly a month and a half. Not the longest stretch of time, but still a relatively decent amount. She didn't know why, but it felt as if it had been years rather than weeks; her muscles felt stiff, her mind was fuzzy. She knew that her skin was turning more translucent by the day, that her skin was stretching tight over her bones. Her freckles must have looked like speckles of dirt or blood splattered across her face; Joan called it her "game face," and Scatty had laughed when she'd first mentioned it. But now was not the time to joke about such things.

If she had to take a guess, she would have to say that it was because of her excess expression of emotion over the past two weeks or so. She was not used to feeling so many things at once, and to say the least, it was putting a strain on her body and mind. But she would make it, she would always endure.

The punching bag was stiff beneath her fist, and she felt the tremor from the blow run up her arm. Gritting her teeth, Scathach threw another punch, releasing all of her frustration and worry into that single blow. Once her knuckles hit the leather, there was a moment where it felt as if nothing happened, as if her attack had done nothing.

Then, the seam of the bag split, and gravel began to pour out of the casing, clattering at her feet. She stared at the small pile apathetically, and then turned away, heading towards the stairs that led to her private quarters.

She would have to feed again tonight. There was no more getting around it.

Baby why don't we just turn that TV off?
315 channels of nothing but bad news on.
Well it might be me
But the way I see it
The whole wide world has gone crazy.
So baby why don't we just dance?
lyrics. (http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/turner-josh/why-dont-we-just-dance-29220.html)

There were some things Rikku could do without the aid of her Garment Grid--or rather, newfound powers. She could still fight like the Warrior, mix up bombs like the Alchemist, and shoot almost as well as the Gunner. Heck, she could gamble up a storm without the help of Lady Luck. There were just certain skills that every thief needed, and she'd mastered them long before Shinra had perfected his Grid design.

But when she wasn't in her Songstress outfit, she was more or less hideously uncoordinated on the dance floor.

She could stay on her feet, yes, and even keep to the rhythm of a song. But when it came to the fancy moves of Lenne's sphere, she couldn't even manage to spin without falling over or hitting someone in the face. Needless to say, Gippal had made sure to ask her to dance at parties they were both invited to simply to keep her from injuring herself or other people.

So maybe going to the club hadn't been the best idea in the world, but she had been getting so bored just sitting around doing less than nothing, and this had seemed like it would keep her entertained for an evening. And when she saw the flashing lights and felt the bass of the music reverberating through her entire body, she knew she didn't need the Songstress to help her through this one.

Grinning, the blonde headed straight for the dance floor, eyes set on the very center. Rikku was nothing if not a show-woman, and tonight was going to be one kicking performance.

I'm picturing Rikku doing the Elaine dance and I am most pleased.

You know, that really is how she dances probably.

NOT SURE WHAT TO MAKE THIS ONE ABOUT.....

The stars that pierce the sky
He left them all behind
We're left to wonder why
He left us all behind
lyrics. (http://www.metrolyrics.com/miss-murder-lyrics-afi.html)

Many men had said farewell to their families to fight for their countries, to fight for their freedoms. Some had abandoned their homes to fight for justice, for what they felt was right. Others departed for the thrill of the adventure, to take what they could and reap the benefits and attain the pure glory. But they all had one thing in common: They all left behind something precious, something they were not used to being without.

Recently, Scathach had begun to understand that feeling.

Her own earth had been all she had known. There were many parts of it, many dimensions veiled and unveiled, but they were still a part of her world, and being without them, well. It was a curious sensation, one she did not like very much at all. There were few emotions she could truly say that about, but this feeling of... loneliness. It was definitely one of them.

Her eyes fell upon the book in her hands, and her lips pressed together into a thin line. It was written in French, and as much as she loved the language, she could not bring herself to read any more. It reminded her too much of home, of people she had left behind, and she did not want such thoughts to invade her mind.

Gently closing the pages, she placed the volume on the table in front of her and stood. There were new people here, people she counted among her friends. And they were waiting for her.
