In another half hour I'll have been up for twenty-four
Somehow that sounds like song lyrics.
Anyway, the point of this post is that I went to see Iron Man 2 despite my hellish day and it was pretty swell. I have no major complaints about the story, but a few nitpicky ones. RDJ played assholish alcoholic Tony as awesomely as ever. Rhodey was good, and I was worried cause I fear change. And Scarlett Johansson was oddly thin looking, but overall not bad.
So CnC, any of you been to see it and have thoughts to share with the class?
To innocent bystanders, beware that if you get me talking there will probably be spoilers. Sorry. Just sort of happens.

But damn, Tony. Get a better passcode for your lab/workroom/lair. There was seriously not a single person that came down there who didn't know it.

Tony you know better than that!

And the movie was good, too.

I knew what the teaser was gonna be going in and I was very much disappointed in it. The Captain America joke in it made me lol though.

Everyone should love him.

except he's movie-only. ._.
(Also, lololololol at Jon Favreau casting himself as Happy. I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE)

my one nitpick is this
seriously would it have killed them to lower those percentage numbers a little and have thirty seconds of exposition? because I'm fairly sure 89% blood toxicity means you are already dead and decomposing.
no subject
When I had lead poisoning my blood toxicity was only at something like 15%, or so my doctor said, and I felt pretty darn bad.
As in, not being able to walk bad.
Tony Stark is secretly Superman. Drunk Superman.

and I loved it. Not as amazing as the first Iron Man, but definitely a worthy sequel.
The only thing that...well, I wouldn't say it bugged me (because it really didn't), but it did catch me off-guard was the whole end thing with Pepper.

I LOVE SUITCASE ARMOR. I've always liked the whole Red/Silver look anyhow. I'm glad they made it work. And I'd watch RDJ read the menu at a sushi joint.
no subject
I loved that too. And how it like grew out of the suitcase and assembled itself. So cool.
RDJ's reading of a sushi menu would involve adorably snarky asides. I'd watch that too.

also appreciating the more action scenes

SHOULD HAVE GIVEN MORE TIME TO ROURKELASH
DO NOT WANT THEM TO DROP INTO SPIDER-MAN 3 TERRITORY OF TOO MANY VILLAINS HERE
