Canon: DC Comics; New Earth
Affiliations: Haha no. (Batfam, but screw them.)
Current state of affairs: Currently, he's in prison. He'll be getting out soon, I'm just debating a canon/power update along with him getting out.
What I'm looking for: I'm thinking of taking him in a more vigilante-type direction once he gets out, so encounters with street level heroes and villains would be cool?
What I'd like to avoid: Nothing in particular? He has fair amount of stable vaguely slice-of-lifey CR so that's not really my priority, but at the same time any new CR is good in my book.

Character: Nick Fury
Canon: Marvel 616
Affiliations: Secret Warriors-ish.
Current state of affairs: Nick's still rocking out with his team. I'd like to expand it to include a few new faces, hopefully not just from Marvel.
What I'm looking for: ... Uhh, see above.
What I'd like to avoid: Slice-of-life, I guess? Nick isn't a personable guy, so I just don't think it's really an option for him.

So Jack's thinking of getting some people out Midwest to confront the Red Death and identify their ties to Vulcanus. How might this overlap or complement SHIELD 2.0's undercover work?

In all honestly, the recent legs of the modplot kind of ate a lot of the threads I had going there. I'm really unclear as to what's currently even going on with Red Death/Phantasm so I... Don't even know how to begin answering that. As far as I know, there hasn't been an update on that front since May (or June when Sherlock's thing hit).

Gil brought back names of two important figures in New Vesuvius to research, but that's the most solid thing they've really got going at the moment.

Hmm, well you and Ali were given information that could be revealed about the Red Death when the plot was approved, right? Do you have plans for Nick's team revealing or sharing it ICly? It might make a good inciting point for any plans Jack could initiate.

Character: Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver
Canon: Marvel 616
Affiliations: The Avengers / The Xavier Institute
Current state of affairs: Pietro's married to Angelica Jones, and teaches at the Xavier Institute.
What I'm looking for: More stuff with the school! I feel like it's kind of fallen by the way-side and I'd like to revive it.
What I'd like to avoid: There's nothing I'm particularly looking to avoid.
Anything else?:

I was kind of busy at the time of the canonswap plot so I didn't get to do much with this, but during that plot, Archer would have been trying to mess with the Xavier Institute in some way. Maybe something could be done with the aftereffects of that? I'm not sure what exactly; could be that whatever passes for a security system there stopped him and he wants to offer tips on how to improve it, I don't know.

Um possibly? At the same time though, I am not the player in charge of the school and as that would be a retconned thing, it'd probably be better to go through them. Like. It seems interesting, but I couldn't personally give the yea or nay there.

If you do want to do something with that, I would strongly encourage you to contact Ali or Amy, since Angelica and Kurt are the co-administrators.

Oh, sorry. I was kind of confused as to who was in charge since I know things got mixed up a bit with Hank being dropped. I'll look into that.
