Some Batman news here. Looks like Bruce is the only Batman and Robin is... Damian! I wonder if he'll still be Talia's kid.

I'm down to desperately hoping the Wonder Woman series is worth a look, or else I've got nothing to read in six months. And I like Batman for God's sake.

I tried so hard to be upbeat about this but with every new announcement my face falls that bit closer to the center of the earth...

But Batman is in like every single title DC is putting out! And even a few Marvel at this rate.

Everything he's featuring in has an incredibly underwhelming creative team. I don't like Tony Daniel, I don't like David Finch, I don't like Tomasi, I don't like Dan Jurgens and I don't like Geoff Johns, and two of them are doubling as writer and artist. The only thing I could be convinced to try at this point is the main title with Snyder writing, but looking at samples of the new artist on google is turning me off the idea.

Although having said that, I will probably follow Batwoman.

I know I'll be following Catwoman, Mr. Terrific, probably Batwoman, MAYBE Batgirl (at least the first issue to see WTF)... and I guess I'll see what else they're cooking.

Hnnnng I was all in for Catwoman until Winick and that ~bad girl~ blurb. If it turns out she still bears some resemblance to v2 Selina then I'll consider it. Still on the fence with Perez's Superman but if Morrison turns out Morrison isn't going to be writing Action Comics or something I will probably give it a try.

Meh, I tend to ignore the blurbs as they're more to sell books than accurately describe the issue. But putting a bit of the 90s edge back into the character wouldn't be a bad thing, I think. She's been pretty boring in Sirens.

This is true, I suppose. I'm mostly concerned that we'll be going back to the same cyclical bat/cat stuff just when things felt like they were progressing.

I suspect whatever happens in these last few issues of Sirens might set the new status quo for them. Since they're really pushing how ~shocking~ it is.

My totally off-the-wall prediction is that Selina tries to off the Joker.
