Yeah I uh I really wish "hot comics laydeez" wasn't synonymous with Adam Hughes

It's not just the waist it's also how weird they look in proportion to his hips...

I definitely agree. The funny thing is that ones who draw less realistically (such as Cliff Chiang) actually do give her about the same size chest as any cheesecake artist. Your eyes just aren't immediately drawn to that part of the body. But when it comes to Hughes, I'm just always so distracted by the hips/waist (Zee more so, because he always puts that damn corset on her that Dustin Nguyen pulled off flawlessly).

Basically, everything I dislike about him is summarized in this cover (http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=19666). (This is a close second (http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=18411), though it's infinitely more attractive, I'm sure you can guess why...).

It would be a bit different maybe if I could convince myself Hughes was trying to give women specific bodytypes except... it's always the same wonky waist/hips ratio. Mostly for him it seems like adjusting builds equals modifying bust size :|

Also that second cover is like Land-style O-facing.

Yeah. The people who are at Benes' studio are somehow even worse, too. Since Zatanna's started to become popular (and since Benes himself has removed the blouse for corsets/bustiers), all I see is shitty art of her like, lounging and her boobs looking like rocks. :(

Well, and then you get to hear him talk. I feel it should be in his contract that he is not allowed to talk. :|

Exactly. :( Though I think the funny thing about him is I always like his sketches much more than I do finished art. I like to give him the benefit of the doubt sometimes, since I know a lot of the really offensive stuff tends to be commission artwork, but there comes a point when you just want to strangle him. I hear his wife (Allison Sohn) is actually just as offensive as he is. She also draws wonky faces.

Really, I'd hate him much less if it weren't for the comments I know he's made because it's not as though wonky anatomy and perfect eyemakeup for all is a special trait when it comes to comics.
