MORE QUESTIONS

It's serious poll is serious time again, C&C. This time I have an inquiry of a more metatastical nature than usual. And I am anxious to hear your answers, double spaced or no!

What do you like best about playing your characters? What do you like least, or find most challenging? As always this is mostly just an opportunity to indulge tl;dr instincts. If you want to babble on about dropped characters, or prospective characters I will do the opposite of stop you.

AAAND to gush about prospective characters-

What I immediately loved about Takuto here is that his canon is fucking. Fabulous. I mean come on, a mech-piloting magical boy who has his own henshin sequence? Girl please. And then you realize you were thrown headlong into the plot and Shit Gets Real and - okay, that's about Star Driver in general. Takuto is the first main character I have considering playing since Link (OOT/MM specifically), and I think he's supposed to be the opposite of your typical mecha shonen hero. He's... really weird, actually, and not as theatrical and social as he appears to be. And canon doesn't reveal as much about him as one would expect; hell, his major character growth happened before the series began, even. So the few times I've played around with him, I enjoyed showing these two extremes, how he can be flashy and humble, even shy. The latter I know I would love to explore more, show that he's not some overbearing unreachable Shonen Hero. He's just a guy.

The challenge with Takuto, which is more paranoia, is that he's too over-the-top and animu and would just be annoying asdfkjb, or that he'd be seen more as a gag character than anything because his canon is. Insane.

And another ninja guy I've been considering is very fun and totally not like my usual character type, which is what makes him fun! He didn't get much exposure in canon until recently so I feel more comfortable fleshing him out as needed and showing what an utter nerd he is. And also how he's quite a 'loser', but he's working on it! The challenge with him would be matching the awesome of castmates because haha, that's impossible.
