[there's just too much information to cover here and it's all bad, but he does spot the pamphlet Soundwave is packing, holding up his hands in a half purposed shrug, half motion of clear surrender and harmlessness.]

Ah. Good. I'm glad--you've always been reasonable. [well THAT isn't true, insofar as Screamer believes it, the whole loyal to Megatron thing is beyond unreasonable. But for the sake of argument and suckuppery...]

...I take it you've noticed how large everything here is. I'm not sure what happened. [the pamphlet don't cover "you were enormous and now you're tiny" apparently]

[ Starscream: being Starscream.

Still on guard, he displays his normal body mass and weight -- and then his current body mass and weight.

[leaning in closer to stare at the display and then suck in a completely alarmed and unnecessary breath, glancing down at himself, then around in slow dawning horror. Big trees. Big buildings. Or normal sized trees and buildings.] That cannot be. How--how is it possible?

[he has .4ths of a second of a freakout before he clamps down on himself. It could be worse.]

Ah, I'm sure the answer is evident. It may be we stumbled on some... ancient artifact... [a shrink ray slash amnesia cannon developed by ancient Autobot trolls.] Has your surveillance netted you any sort of answer?

[ Although his processor is working overtime trying to figure the situation out, he's not nearly as noticeably freaked out as Starscream is.

He had read of certain possibilities in the pamphlet (lying: probable).

He plays back a certain AI's voice: ] Welcome to the City, hero.

Yes, better that machine not learn of her malfunction, in that regard. [heh he thinks Lachesis was serious]

Unless... It could be this is an alternate universe. Where we are heroes.

[ STARES AT. Seriously, Starscream, seriously? ]

[ice cold panic washes through him for a second as he feels the figurative ground give way] Mega--megatron's forces, obviously. [after a moment] I haven't seen him here, but that doesn't mean he isn't.

[ Pause. His little communications tower thing comes out of his back, whirring. Two little blips appear on it, representing Soundwave and Starscream. He widens out, sending his data further into the City.

Megatron's lifesign: unable to be found.

Just as quickly, his screen-face blinks off and the tower retreats. He needs higher ground.

He attempts to transform into a plane but you know when they're missing their t-cog? YEAH THAT HAPPENS. ]

You can't change. [his tone is a mingled one of mild horror and surprise--less horror than there would be if he didn't already know he could. Escape was possible.]

It seems the worst has happened, Soundwave. [he cannot, literally cannot keep smugness out of his tone.] It seems you need me.

[struggling not to smile, as he turns away, thinking how the mighty have fallen] I want you to remember this. Remember that I could have left you here, alone and helpless among these humans, unable to transform--without my guidance.

[ Power dynamics: shifted.

Retaliation? Unnecessary. Solution: wait. Watch. Antagonism not useful.

He's not answering you starscream, he's running internal diagnostics. ]
