What does your character look like?

Because icons aren't always the most accurate, today's not!meme asks you to describe your character's physical appearance. Height, weight, eye and hair color, build, distinguishing marks, etc. And if they've had any physical changes since arriving in the City (i.e., new robo-arm, sporting a rad eyepatch, suddenly becoming a human) you can share that as well!  And if you use a PB, who are they, why did you pick them,etc.?

gemma is "tall" by victorian standards, which means she's probably about 5'6" or 5'7"ish. she has a mop of red curls shot through with golden undertones and upturned "glass green eyes." both of these traits were inherited from her mother, as she is apparently the spitting image of virginia. there is a small scar on her right side, roughly an inch and a half long, a remnant from where she got stabbed one time. she is covered in freckles from head to toe and hates each and every one of them. she's described as "pretty" but feels that her limbs are too long, her hands and feet are too big, she's just ugly, and all those other insecurities that sixteen year old girls generally have at the beginning of their epic, three-book adventure.

her clothing was generally her school uniform: a plain white dress that covered her from neck to toe, though a ruffled hem had to be added on because she's soooo tall. it also came with a snazzy blue velvet cape that she still has. otherwise, imagine your classic, late 19th century fashion and you've got it you've pictured her perfectly. don't forget about the corsets and all their rib-crushing, body-altering perks.

since she has been in c&c she probably gained an inch or so in height and also a little in the waist area; she no longer has the curvature acquired from wearing a corset almost 24/7, though her waist is still rather defined because of it. she has also finally started wearing jeans and dress shirts, though does like her mod fashions still. her hair is just as curly and untamed as ever. her pb is cintia dicker who i think is a goddess of freckles.
