damn gurl

What does your character look like?

Because icons aren't always the most accurate, today's not!meme asks you to describe your character's physical appearance. Height, weight, eye and hair color, build, distinguishing marks, etc. And if they've had any physical changes since arriving in the City (i.e., new robo-arm, sporting a rad eyepatch, suddenly becoming a human) you can share that as well!  And if you use a PB, who are they, why did you pick them, etc.?

rikku is 5'2" and a little on the scrawny side, but she isn't lacking for muscle tone. she has long blonde hair that goes down to her mid back when in a ponytail, so who knows how long it is let down!! she usually keeps it up in a weird half-pony with braids errwhere and holds it all together with a blue bandanna. it is a very particular setup and she probably hides things in her hair (like wrenches and machine parts who knows).

she's got tanned skin and green eyes with spiraled pupils. the latter (along with her blonde hair) marks her as an al bhed. she has dimples when she smiles, a cute nose, and a round face. and we all know about her peculiar fashion sense, but hey, what can you do with an al bhed. she probably has a few scars on her hands and arms from malfunctioning machina and such.

since she has been in c&c, she's probably gained a little weight from not you know, walking around the whole fucking world, and has likely acquired a few more scars on her hands. her face has filed out, her brows are more arched, she just has something of a more mature look about her. she still dresses inappropriately for the weather. i'm bad at this.

Angelica is barely 5'2" tall and roughly 100lbs. The Marvel wiki lists something completely different, but it is wrong and I honestly have no idea where they came up with that because she's been depicted as being very petite since the beginning of time (it always makes me smile when she's like... shoulder height to other characters! Yay for short superheroes!) Anyway, she is short! Pocket sized, one could say! And from her earliest appearances, she is described as especially curvy (and self-conscious about it in her youth.) I've taken this to mean she's got an ample bosom and dem hips. She's not especially muscular or athletic, but she's in decent shape.

Her eyes are bluish green and her hair is red, more on the coppery end of the spectrum. Her hair is naturally wavy, curlier since her chemotherapy finished, and it's currently about shoulder length.

She has some freckles, but not a ton. Her most noticeable (or not) mark is a scar on her left breast about the size of a quarter. That is where she had her lumpectomy. You're not going to notice it unless you see her in some state of undress, however.

Angelica looks younger than she actually is and could be mistaken for a teenager despite being in her early 20's. She could better be described as cute than beautiful, but she has more of a wholesome quality to her than anything else, really.

Her PB is Maria Thayer, after switching back and forth for awhile. Her hair is what drew me to her. It's perfect Angie hair.

Xanatos looks kiiiiind of like Riker from Star Trek with a ponytail! The fact that his character design is completely coincidental to the fact that Jonathan Frakes is his voice actor only makes the Star Trek jokes that more ridiculous (and the fact that Frakes isn't even TRYING to change up his voice a bit while voicing Xanatos, great job dude, the Star Trek jokes write themselves.) He's average height & build and some sort of vaguely brown skin tone (canon says he's Greek, but the animation is all over the fucking place sometimes.) He does have longish brown hair, which he always wears in a ponytail that stops just below his shoulders. He has brown eyes (I think) and has a beard that looks like a mixture of Riker and Tony Stark.

Nothing really changed since he arrived at the city. Xanatos still places a lot of pride in his appearance cause hello there, you gotta look good while running a company. He probably still wears his one canon outfit of a dark blue suit & oxford.

Bradbury is easily 6'2", maybe a bit more than that depending on the shoes he's wearing at the time, and built like a brick shithouse. From what we see of him in flashbacks, his build has been fairly consistent throughout his life; he was fairly big-boned even as a kid, and being in the corps has encouraged him to keep up his fitness in a way he otherwise might not have. Almost definitely the type who played football in high school. His fitness is definitely more for functionality than for looks, and fast food is his guilty pleasure, so he's bulky in a messy-muscle kind of way -- sort of like a rugby player, more than anything else.

Generally, his face isn't what you'd really call attractive! His nose is just a little too big for his face and his feature are set a little low, his forehead is high (not a receding hairline, it's just the way it is). He's got a square jaw, with prominent jowls; while his cheekbones are high, they don't tend to be one of his notable features. For some reason, he has black eyebrows and pale blond hair, the latter usually buzz-cut to keep the bodyguard look up, though in the City he tends to let it run a little longer than usual. It's very soft and fine (aka. duck fluff) and the front tends to grow faster than the back.

His eyebrows and his mouth are the most expressive features of his face, telegraphing what he's feeling pretty clearly most of the time. His lips are full and he keeps up his dental hygiene, so his teeth are also in pretty good shape. His eyes are brown, and he has pretty thick lashes (as does everyone in his canon, frankly).

Despite his height and build, Bradbury's physical presence tends to be easily dismissed, because he's pretty good at making himself unobtrusive in the way big men who don't want to be noticed do. His body language is generally pretty open and deferential, though it's a little different on the job than off it. When he's in high alert or in action, he can move very quickly and aggressively, really using all that physical power to intimidate. Otherwise, he's kind of a dope, slouching and sprawling all over things like a fat cat. When he's not in his suit he favors t-shirts and jeans over anything else, and usually some kind of jacket on top of that.

ETA: OH HOW COULD I FORGET these are his current tattoos; the one on his chest is a recent addition as of his first birthday in the City, the others (concentric circles on both elbows, the cuff on his left arm) are also fairly recent additions he got on his "one day off" a year in canon. IDEK MAN. Not visible in the picture, on account of being too lazy to draw it properly, is the scar on his chest from HABIT-plot. He also has a USMC tattoo on his back, over his right shoulderblade. Various small nicks and scars from his time in the corps, but most of them have faded.

The most notable thing that my characters' icons don't really cover, because of anime styles, is age. Kyouko is fourteen and Archer is somewhere around thirty.

Other than that...

Kyouko is a little over 5'2" in height, with an average build (despite all her snacking; thank magical girl metabolism for that, probably). She has bright red hair and red eyes, and I've seen people argue over whether she really has that coloring or if it's just a stylistic choice, but for the purposes of this game, yes, yes she has red hair and red eyes, because come on. Other than that, she doesn't really have much in the way of distinguishing features.

Archer is a little bit under 6'2", with a broad and fit build. He has a dark complexion, grey eyes, and grey-white hair, which he always wears with the bangs spiked up. Things like his age and ethnicity are kind of difficult to determine thanks to how thoroughly he pushed and punished his body in life (his unusual coloring is a result of extensive magical practice).

Nepeta is a teeny tiny little slip of a girl; I imagine her to be two or three inches shorter than the shortest troll out of the group, and the fact that she exclusively wears baggy clothing only serves to make her appear even smaller and more childlike than she actually is. She's incredibly slender and completely devoid of a chest (and will probably always be this flat) but underneath all of her clothing it's actually pretty obvious that there's a healthy leanness to her. She's small but she's far from delicate.

She's also kind of a wild mess, haha. Her clothes are clean but oversized and very well worn - there's fraying at the edges of her trenchcoat where it drags on the ground, bloodstains that just don't wash out, stuff like that. Nepeta herself is also clean but kind of disheveled, especially when it comes to her hair; underneath her hat it's a complete rat's nest, full of tangles and mats and sticking up every which way. It makes her look a little feral even when she's not trying, especially because she has a habit of flashing her fangs unconsciously when she's particularly excited.

Also she's kind of covered in scars all over her body, with most of them concentrated on her arms and chest. They're all from hunting adventures, as even a skilled predator gets into some particularly nasty tangles every now and then when they're hunting only with their claws and teeth.

And, uh. She's obviously still a troll.

BUT OKAY SURE FINE WHATEVER I'LL DO IT FOR REAL. Brian's 6'1", because that's how tall his actor is so shut up that's why, and of what appears to be a pretty average build. Which belies how weird and muscley he is when shirtless! It's like he has this jacked body with a tiny Ken doll head and it's weird, man, no sir I don't like it. Basically he's average all around, which is how people describe him in-show and definitely something he takes advantage of when doing nasty shit; not really tall, not short, not fat, not thin, not ugly, not super handsome! Just normal. I make a lot of fun of his face, like, a lot of fun but in truth he's not grotesquely deformed or anything, just some average white guy in his late thirties with a lot of laugh lines and an expressive face, plus one of those heinous Kirk Douglas chin dimple things. In comparison with Dexter, who's really the only character he draws comparison to for obvious reasons, he's a little stretched out -- taller, paler, less compact -- and he's got a sort of weedy, dorky-cute vibe going on which he'll play up when doing so's to his advantage. His eyes are green, and he's kind of got a tan in canon, but after three months in wintery Fake New York you'd better believe that motherfucker's gone. His hair is black and sort of this awkward not-curly not-straight consistency, which is like legit one of the ways he's described as resembling Dexter in the books in almost that exact wording so GOOD CASTING CALL, I GUESS. The polite word for it is probably tousled, but basically if it's short it just looks kind of fluffy. He does not appear to do anything with it other than trim his bangs ever so often, but he does shave every day. IIRC the only time you see him with any kind of five o'clock shadow it's all in the stache area, and he's been up for like a day straight, jacking cars and tossing his fiancee into trunks next to dead guys.

Dress-sense-wise, he's pretty unremarkable! Basically he's either at work and wearing a button-up shirt + tie + dress pants + sometimes labcoat, or he's not at work and wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Very casual and boring, but also very convenient when it comes to keeping a wide range of movement! We don't see him enough to know if he's got a super formal killsuit like Dexter does, but he appears to go for all-black clothing that covers everything but his face, gloves, and sometimes a ski mask. Also, he's got a stupid Celtic knot tattoo on his left bicep because Christian Camargo has a stupid Celtic knot tattoo on his left bicep.

Canon is ridiculous because it's comics. Basically, the way she looks standing next to other characters refutes what is stated in canon. She's about 5'4"-5'5", 140lbs or so (I think I said 146, specifically, last time? Idk.). Leggy and hippy. Curvy, but with a bit of muscle in a way that's not quite as visible as, say, Diana or even Dinah. Hair is just under her shoulders, naturally wavy and black, but she'll mix it up and straighten it at times. She tends to favor lengthy bangs, but might go a little severe sometimes!

She changes it up in terms of stage/superheroine costume a lot, but usually sticks to the classic mimic of her father's (I am not a fan of the more revealing versions that were ushered in by Benes, but I don't mind some versions that are more corset-style). Otherwise, her clothing can really vary but is often Boho-chic, or very simplistic. She enjoys dressing up and has really great taste in designers (Alexander McQueen and Roksanda Ilincic) and can wear things that are somewhat revealing, but never trashy.

I really like Saiz (this icon!), Roux, and I have a healthy appreciation for how Laming draws her, but he's only ever done commissions and fanart (he also draws a really gorgeous Black Widow, imho).

Sook draws the definitive version for me and Woods comes in as a close second.

PB was a hard choice because several artist have been stated as using Jennifer Connelly as a model (Sook included), but I generally dislike overused PBs or anyone that is known for a character, even if that character was from a movie thirty years ago. A lot of actresses that Hollywood acts like are curvy or sultry are really... not and also I didn't want anyone under 35 or I generally like older science fiction, horror, and period film actresses. I think I did pretty swell by choosing one of my favorite ladies.

I realize this comment will be kind of redundant since he's from a live-action canon but never mind. John is 5.58 ft (1.70m) tall, which makes him the shortest male character in Sherlock. Welp. He has a short, stocky build, having lost a lot of weight before he met Sherlock and gained it back on since then, but he isn't tubby. Not really.

And contrary to popular belief, he has blue eyes. Sometimes the lighting is a bit weird and makes them look like a different colour, but they are either dark or greyish blue. He used to have fair hair when but now he's starting to grey. He usually keeps it short and neat, sort of within army regulations, though it may have started looking a bit shaggier lately. Someone take him to the barbers.

He often wears his black haversack shooting jacket and blue jeans. His footwear tended to vary back in London, though he is stuck with the same Loake shoes that he arrived in. John actually doesn't spend a lot of money on his wardrobe and what he does have gets a lot of use.

I don't really think Natasha looks like Scarlett Johansson, which is not a MCU diss b/c I'm pretty fine with her in the role. But her comics incarnation is a) taller, b) blue-eyed, c) Russian, and d) should probably be less curvy (but comics!!)

I say "less curvy" because there's this whole image/idea of Natasha as a ballet dancer and those tend to be the long and skinny types. Certainly that sort of grace influences how she moves— precise, economical, and beautiful. With total control. And some artists have definitely played this up over the years. Some have just gone for as much boobs as possible. Frank Cho started with this idea of giving her small boobs and then gradually kind of gave up on that h e h.

Her hair is long and straight at this point, but she's not really afraid to do other things with it. There's a lot of normal inconsistencies in coloring/artist style and does she have bangs or no bangs (???) but I think it makes sense that Natasha would be constantly doing new and different things with her hair, even dying it slightly different shades. (She is a natural redhead, but has dyed it black before.)

I picked out a PB once and she looked like this.

Jessica Jones… looks pretty ordinary. She has brown hair and brown eyes and wears minimal makeup and lots of dark baggy clothes and slouches and I love how Gaydos draws her. Since she's supposed to be a contrast to the fabulous beauty of the typical comic book lady. She's pretty, I would say, but it's a very ordinary pretty that required her to wear braces as a child. Jessica has self-esteem issues and doesn't like to spend too much time on her appearance, but like with most people make-up can make her look better.

She wore a pink wig with her costume for a while but seems to have moved away from that entirely.

Jessica is roughly Peter Parker's age, since they went to high school together. So, she's probably 27-28ish in the City, given I take her from a very early canon point plus all the ??? that is aging in this place. (Maybe it "works" like comic book time?)

Nanaja is 8'6" and probably like 250-300 lbs, because I'm really not sure how weight scales with height. She has blue eyes and bluish-white hair. She's very lean-muscled, sort of like if an Olympic gymnast was really, really tall. Expect her to constantly show off her six pack, which she does not have to work at all to maintain. She is very flat-chested.

So apart from being absurdly tall, she's got a couple other obvious "this is an alien" tells. She's got a long tail that ends with a rather scary-looking blade. Her ears are pointy and Vulcan-esque. Short blue quills start at the base of her tail and travel up her spine and neck and end at the tips of her ears. Her right big toe has a large claw like what you'd find on a velociraptor, hence why she never wears shoes.

Her skin is unnaturally pale and she wears her hair at full body length, and she generally keeps the sides of her head shaved. She has several purple tattoos: designs around each eye, along the tops of her ears, and a final one across her back.

She's fairly fashionable, in a 'what a showoff' kind of way. Midriff-baring is a must, as is the color pink. Basically anything from tiny barely-there tops and tight pants to simple tank tops and shorts are a go. Also, ask about her adorable koala shirt.

Really, the icons are a pretty good reference seeing as she's only been drawn by three artists total.

Kang is large for his particular type of draconian, with a height of seven feet and a very muscular build. He is humanoid, with a tail, large wings (18 ft span when fully extended), fangs, claws, yellow eyes with slit pupils, curling horns much like a ram's, and scales that have a dark bronze sheen to them. The edges of the scales have a tarnished look to them. He typically wears a blue cloth kilt and white tunic that is specially designed to accommodate his wings, along with a blue vest and a waterproof dark blue cloak when he needs to look official; all of said clothes are very good quality and look straight out of the medieval era. He forgoes shoes, as his legs and feet are digitigrade, instead of plantigrade like a human's. His right hand is covered in scars, centered mostly on the palm, and the damage heavily suggests that he almost lost the pinky and ring finger; there is also a noticeable large scar on his back (right next to his spine), and on the back of his left thigh along with a few other minor ones here and there.

Also because of his non-human anatomy, he can make a wider range of sounds. He's capable of very deep, even subsonic, sounds in his chest, and can even do a handful of ultrasonic sounds in the back of his throat. Nasal sounds are impossible, though, due to the nasal cavity being a different shape. His normal speaking voice is very deep, probably about an octave lower than Keith David's, and definitely not human.

Kang's accent is somewhat similar to Romanian, but not quite; it's not as heavy, and the vowel pronunciation is not the same. Because of the shape of his mouth, soft sounds come out more as hisses or growls, and some of them are just flat out impossible for him to make, like soft d and t. It's also impossible to roll the r, like in burro or arroz. He speaks a fair bit of Dwarven, and fluent Nerakese and Common. Common is largely the same as American English, but a few of the words here and there are completely different and not from any Earth language.

He's very self-confident, but not to the point of being arrogant. He's also sociable and has no problem starting up a conversation with others when in the market, at a restaurant, or at a bar. It's obvious from his bearing to anyone that's been around military before that he was a soldier and that he was an officer. He has no problem with being blunt (but diplomatically) with others if they're being stupid or rude, and has absolutely no problem whatsoever with defending himself and even killing if he needs to. Body-language wise, his face isn't quite as expressive as a humans; the most important things to pay attention to are his wings and tail. They pretty clearly broadcast his mood. A particular quirk of his is that when he's thinking fairly deeply about something, the very tip of his tail will start swaying back and forth a bit.

His gift from Lachesis looks almost exactly like Daniel Dae Kim because damn that man is built and he just fits perfectly in my mind and did from the first time I saw his face when searching for a human PB. He has black hair that tends to curl when it grows out, dark brown eyes, very prominent cheekbones, and tan skin. The main difference is that he's 6'4", looks as if he's in his late 20's or early 30's, and that he keeps the scars from his normal body. It was much more obvious when he first was in the city, but there's still a subtle way that he moves and sometimes smiles that isn't really human. He keeps the accent as well, though he can pronounce softer sounds much more easily.

He prefers t-shirts, jeans, and workboots, in monochrome colors, stuff that's durable and simple and not very expensive or gaudy. He has a handful of shirts with logos for classic rock bands, doesn't wear jewelry, and keeps his hair short and his face shaved because hair is annoying and he'll never get used to it. :|

Gil is fairly tall, standing at 5'11". He probably looks taller than he actually is in combination with his hat, coat, and long legs. He is a... leggy person. I used to think he was on the thin side but it turns out he's actually rather lean! Which means he does keep in shape, but that's probably thanks to running all around the countryside with people. Idk?? I also see him as rather light skinned compared to Oz or Alice.

Canon can't actually decide what colour his hair is but I go with him having dark brown-almost-black hair, which is often messy and probably in need of a cut but he'll comb it neatly back when he needs to look presentable. He'll often tie back the ends with a blue ribbon. His hair contrasts with his golden eyes. They're supposed to be the first thing people notice about Gil. Canonly supposed to be very attractive and he often gets women's heads turning at parties.

Depending on his mood, he moves either fluidly and with purpose or tense and uncertainty or just plain anxiety. He's someone whose surface emotions can be easily read at times, so if Gil is uncomfortable it shows in his face or his (lack of) movement.

Tends to favour black and white clothes. Bits of blue, but his wardrobe is boring and mostly dress pants/shirts and cardigans.

Across his torso is a scar he obtained as a child and another one running along his neck as a nasty reminder of the HABIT plot. Because of this scar, he sticks to buttoning up his shirts all the way and/or wearing scarves.

Oh, yeah! I can't believe I forgot but Gil is physically 25 in game, going 26 by the summer. It's complicated. And his hands are noted as "big" but not in a creepy sense? I imagine he has calloused hands and long fingers.

Norman is 5'11", with long legs and broad shoulders. He's muscular but not "Superman-esque", exactly; he's got a relatively lithe, agile build and (somewhat) tapered waist but his musculature is mostly apparent in his chest, arms, and calves. His legs are very nice and his fingers are long with well-kept nails, and he has a large scar on his chest (and back) from being impaled with his glider.

He's got prominent cheekbones and a strong jaw, and though he's sixty by now he looks more like someone in his mid-forties thanks to the Goblin serum, still handsome in that older gentleman sort of way. He has some wrinkles along his forehead and around his eyes, and his forehead is slightly big as it merges into his widow's peak. His hair is auburn, thick and curly because of it's natural texture and because it's kept so short. His eyes are blue but look green in certain light. He's got a very prominent, aquiline nose. His mouth is a little large but very expressive; when he wants to be intimidating he smiles broadly so that all his teeth, slightly pointed, show, though otherwise favors more "PR-friendly" smiles. He almost always has a smirk of some kind on his lips, or a scowl. His ears curl in a way that makes them appear a little pointed.

He favors wearing suits most of the time in public, usually in greens or dark purples (ditto ties) but he will wear brown or black or other colors from time to time. Always very pressed, rich, and professional, basically. He's not overly hairy but he's got some along his chest, stomach, and arms -- his legs are usually kept bare because they chafe his tights otherwise. He's got a confident, imposing stance and stride, and usually stands up straight with his arms behind his back or clenched at his sides, keeping eye contact.

Delicious glorious not!memes om nom...

Sanji looks very much the same as he did a year ago when he ported back in from Mermaid Island - blond hair longer and shaggier than when he was younger, parted to reveal his left eye and inward-curled brow, more muscled and broad in the shoulder, his goatee rather thick (except on his upper lip). Unlike his first two years in the City, he has kept up his appearance without major alteration, probably because he understands the working of the porter and time differences now. He's 5'10", just shy of 5'11" actually, still wiry in build but not as scrawny as he used to be. His legs and abs are stupidly muscled. Unlike most of fandom I don't think his eyes are blue - I've always assumed them to be black or dark gray, like most of the male characters in One Piece whose iris colors are never shown, and I will continue to think that until Oda says otherwise. But he is naturally blond, though his facial hair (and other hair!) is dark - his goatee has tints of brown or auburn in the right light but the rest is otherwise black. His eyebrows are asymmetrical compared to the rest of his face - they both spiral on the right end, meaning the inside on the left and the outside on the right - which is why he keeps his hair covering one eye at all times. He hasn't been shown as having any new scars post-timeskip, even in the glorious nekkid-torso shots from Mermaid Island, so it's probably still just the one tiny one on his spine from back surgery.

Alastair has dark red hair and gray eyes, stands about 6' exactly (when not in his motorcycle boots), and very fine features. He's sort of let himself go since his prime teenage days - he's not as obviously muscled anymore. He hasn't gained weight per se, but he doesn't go to a gym or train or anything so his natural buffness is wearing off and becoming not-so-muscley. He passes as fairly average, if tall. Part of the reason he doesn't wear crop-tops anymore, he doesn't quite have those trim abs these days. He keeps his hair trimmed to its typical style because if he let it go too long, it would get shaggy and 'fro-like and you can't pick up guys with that 'fro.

Kotetsu is in his late 30's, probably somewhere close to 6' tall with a deceptive build - he doesn't appear muscled until you slap him in a bodysuit, and then look at those. He's a DILF, basically. He trims his goatee in that weird...I don't even know how to describe it. It really is shaped like that, with the jagged points. He has dark brown hair, worn long at the nape with long bangs, and lighter brown eyes (amber?) which glow blue when he's using his Hundred Power. He may or may not still have scars from injures thanks to his power - it's never really certain whether he actually did accelerate his healing or not, that one time. His skin tone is naturally darker, and technically he does come from an Asian ethnic background, but he doesn't really have typical Japanese features - if you didn't know his name you probably wouldn't know his ethnicity.

surprisingly icons are relatively close on both of them!

Ruka is about two months shy of sixteen—which is a pretty long way from eleven! Right now she still has her hair dyed brown, but she'll be shifting back to green in the next month or so. She stopped wearing the pigtails ages ago, but is starting to grow away from needing to have her hair down all the time to hide her face. Admittedly, she'll never wear flat-out ponytails, but buns, braids, twists, etc.

She has a narrow frame, light skin, eventual pear shape (DEM HIPS, but small chest), and is unfortunately on the unhealthy end of underweight. If she ever dressed in like, a t-shirt and jeans, this would be way more obvious, but she tries wearing clothing that is both flattering but disguises the worst of this, because wow body confidence issues and also not wanting to solicit concern issues. She also wears makeup to disguise her sleeping issues, though some days it bleeds through a bit more than she'd like.

Height-wise she's about 5'2", 5'3", but often wears shoes with heels so she is frequently "seen" between 5'4" and 5'7". (She does this deliberately so she looks older, what with the whole "pretending at times to be two years older than she is" thing). She's eventually going to pick up maybe another inch or two, but in the end is just going to wind up with legs to the fucking sky and these are the things my canon deems more important than giving her a fucking surname. Her legs are one of the few parts of her that she actually likes, so she does tend to dress to show them off.

Clothing-wise! Obviously she always keeps her arms covered, even in summer, but she really likes fashionable clothing and looking the best she can—she wants to have control over where people direct their focus. Her palette runs warm, usually stays in reds and pinks and their extended family, but has added in an unfortunate amount of a Specific Family of Purples. shut up.

She always has an eye patch on, its color and design varies based on her outfit, and she always wears a Victorian gold bangle/bracelet on her left wrist. Her expressions default to neutral, tired, or vaguely miserable; when she laughs, it's more often fake than genuine (depending on the company, of course), and her smiles are pretty rare.

Yuma looks like his icons and how he does in canon, only somewhat taller, and he has scars around his eyes and on his forehead patterned after the red markings on 96's face. He also has a 96 scarred into the back of one of his hands, but he keeps this covered.

He's still on the short side for a boy—he hasn't hit the full force of puberty just yet, at which point he will inevitably get taller than Kaito. He's very, very slim, he's wiry, and basically has a gymnast's body. His skin has lightened a little due to the City's lack of CONSTANT BRIGHT SUNSHINE, but he's still a touch darker than everyone else in the zexal cast. When he's not in his signature outfit (which still fits SHUT UP ASTRAL HE IS NOT GETTING TALLER SHUT UP), he still wears vibrant, saturated colors, and still defaults for things that LOOK COOL. He's very expressive and is usually very upbeat, but, you know. olesia doesn't play teens that don't have secret pits of misery.

I LIKE THIS NOT!MEME SHRIEKS.

JENNIFER QUANTUM: A sixteen-year-old (who's only existed for nine years, technically) Singaporean girl with a hairstyle that sits somewhere between a pixie cut and a bob. She's been drawn with blue eyes and brown eyes, but considering that she's from Asia, I normally play her with brown eyes, unless her powers are gettin' crazy, in which case the electric blue sparks of her quantum powers fills her eyes. She's average weight and probably stands at somewhere between 5'4'' - 5'5''. She's fairly tomboy in her appearance, and is probably more on the side of cute than genuinely pretty-- and even that's probably ruined by her constant bitchiness tbh!

Her sense of style is sort of punk-esque and a little inspired by her predecessor, Jenny Sparks. She almost always wears clips in her hair. Her various outfits include mostly variations on t-shirts and jeans. She has her iconic leather jacket. Her t-shirts are normally printed, with either Union Jack or a smiley face on black. She also often wears suspenders. She's also been seen wearing Midnighter and Apollo's symbols on her clothes, or a combination of the two.

There's an alternate universe version of her that's blond and not nearly as cool.

DANGER: As a robot, Danger stands 6'0'' and 275 pounds of blue Shi'ar alloy, most of the time. However, since she's technically just made up of ones and zeroes, she can painlessly alter her body whenever she wants or inhabit other electronic devices. She's been seen in computers and even in Sentinels. Her preference is for containers of her own design, mostly because she's essentially built herself to be a walking war machine and is equipped with a frightening number of high powered weapons, including machine guns and lasers. Her hair is made up of cables and wires, and cables are also visible as her "musculature" between her armor plates. She also has exaggerated lower eyelashes.

While artificial beings don't general have a sex and Danger has stated that male or female has little meaning to her and her kind, she's chosen to identify as female and therefore has a female body.

When she's in her organic body, she takes after the Shi'ar people, who are an avian-descended alien race of mostly warriors. Her program was a gift from the Shi'ar to Charles Xavier, so her origins are technically Shi'ar and she is fluent in Shi'ar. Her height is the same, though she weighs significantly less being made of flesh instead of metal. Her build and appearance is of a athletic woman in her early to mid-twenties, since her sentience came into being a little over two decades ago. Like some Shi'ar, she has black markings under her pupil-less eyes. Her hair is blue and made up of dreadlocks and braids, both thick and thin.

Since she has little interest in human fashion and not a great sense of human aesthetics, she basically wears whatever is most comfortable, if she has to wear anything at all. She avoids bras unless someone (LILLIAN CRAWLEY!!!) makes her wear them. She often borrows clothes from other people.

SORANIK is (possibly) 5'6" and don't make me come up with a weight it'll only prove how bad I am with this. I choose to believe she's on the short side for a Korugaran considering Katma Tui was 5'11" and her father is 6'7" (she doesn't get it from her mother either, since her uncle was 6'1" and Arin is shown to be only a few inches shorter than Sinestro). She's visibly very curvy - canonly described as having a great ass (thank you Guy Gardner) - and her face is a blocky sort of oval with slightly pointed ears and short black hair.

I put her age from 30-35, depending on how quickly she graduated med school and how long she's been in the Corps but her roundness definitely makes her look younger.

She also has red skin so there's that and two tattoos - the one on her back and then the two triangles under her cheek. The triangles are probably more intricate than most art shows because they're the ~Secret Sinestro Family Crest~. Her eyes are large and expressive, as well as purple, which she probably should have taken as a sign that maybe she wasn't fully Korugaran after all.

She normally holds herself high and radiates the sort of confidence that means she knows she's good at what she does but doesn't attempt to advertise in her actions.

Okay, so the basics is that Tony Stark is 6'1 (6'6 when in armor) and about 225 pounds. He's actually a rather chunky guy in some ways, he's very well built in that sort of vain-cut that shows that he works out, but not in any way that really strictly means he's very strong. It's all about appearance. That doesn't mean that he can't fight, with the extremis, he's stronger and faster than average, as it augments everything about him. He's pretty broad, but not bulky, although I love the way Adi Granov draws him as just a touch chunkier. Not a lot of fat, but there's definitely some. He isn't a physical hero.

He's, of course, got a very stylish goatee, and dark hair that he normally keeps slicked back. Blue eyes, and for the most part, the rest of him is very conventionally attractive. He has high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and pretty average lips. His eyebrows are extremely expressive. He's often found vaguely amused, unless shit goes down, and then it's super serious. One of the curious things, if you look close enough, is his eyes aren't stationary. They tend to show the bits of data he's processing.

AND THAT MOVES ON TO HIS MARKS. The extremis virus means that Tony's got a series of holes all down his spine, holes on his biceps and inside of his forearms, his thighs, quads, one on either side of his chest, and a trio of three at the base of his neck. They deploy his underarmor, which is stored in his bones. He has no scars or any marks other than that anymore, since he regrew all of his fucking organs when he took on the virus. Including his skin. It also includes a healing factor.

For clothes, he's mostly in a suit if he isn't naked, and on the rare occasion, he goes with business casual. He isn't much into jeans, although occasionally he will slum it in his workshop. He's always wearing expensive...everything. He's clean to the point of almost being fastidious.

codex is a... primarily live action character so her icons are very accurate! but icons don't always clearly communicate someone's style or build, and I like talking about that sort of thing, so I'm doing this not-meme anyway deal with it.

Cyd is 5'5", skinny, and flat as a board. She visibly struggles helping her boyfriend unload instruments out of his van, so yeah, there's no secret muscle here. There are dark circles under her eyes and her pale skin only makes it worse. Speaking of her skin, it's a little too light even for someone with her complexion. It's obvious she doesn't go outside enough. Her blue eyes are often red and puffy with lack of sleep. Or crying. Or both. Her red hair is just past shoulder length and stick-straight with a little curl at the edges. She desperately wishes it were wavier. Her hands are the only part of her that looks consistently cared for, even though they might bear the results of trying to duplicate nail art she found while surfing Rumblr. They're a musician's hands: delicate and dexterous.

She cycled through a LOT of looks throughout high school up to college (goth, wannabe gangster, hippie and if I remember the comics right) but seems to have settled into a default look now that she's in her early twenties: t-shirt and jeans, usually paired with a cardigan. Seriously, she has a lot of them. Lots and lots. She doesn't wear much makeup and the most daring thing she does with her hair is... put it in a ponytail!!! What I'm saying is that she's not very stylish. Hanging with Tink and Clara (who are both way better at rocking the makeup and cute clothes) only highlights how un-cool she is. When she does try to change things up, she tends to try a little too hard, and comes out looking like a walking cliche. Witness Cyd's attempts at "sexy" and "businesswoman". To be fair, though, her date dresses are super cute!

Also, for such a huge nerd, it should be noted that she doesn't really dress to display her geekiness. She has Knights of Good t-shirt that I considered porting her in with, but only because the whole Guild was going to wear them! And I kind of suspect she's got a huge oversized Preggamers shirt she uses as PJs, but she just bought that to get Tink and Clara off her back.

Eddie is a man all about the angles. He possesses delicate, high cheekbones and an angular jawbone, a sharp widow's peak and an elegant cut of a nose.

Bright blue eyes and dark brown hair (it tends to run closer to black) color his palette, and he's very rarely anything other than Gotham-Is-Eternally-Dark Pale. He used to have faded scars (as Gothamites tend to) but those have vanished since his dip in the Lazarus Pit. He has bright, perfectly aligned teeth -- in part because a good handful of them are synthetic. You lose a lot of teeth, as a Batman villain.

He has a lean frame, long legs, confident shoulders and a straight spine. The body of a performer, really, and a rather imposing one at that: he is canonically 6'1''. Eddie has gone through periods of bulkier muscles (NO ONE ESCAPES THE 90s!!!), but has since thinned out to maintain a vanity six-pack (thanks TRINITY), a tight waist, and otherwise subtly toned muscles fulfilling his 183 pounds. His hands are graceful, with long fingers and consciously manicured nails. These are not the hands of someone who works with much more than pens and guns.

Eddie's body language is incredibly fluent in sophisticated affect and flamboyancy. He's expressive, and not only with his face and hands -- but with his elbows, his shoulders, his narrow hips. His mouth is probably his most employed tool of expression, and those lips have mastered every smirk and sneer known to man. Quite predictably, he rarely abandons his iconic green suit. The questions marks in amount and placement may vary, as diplomacy may demand given his City position, but he prefers to stick to green and purple for the blazer and tie, with a black or white or of spring green or lavender dress shirt, and black or green or gray business slacks. Black or brown oxford shoes are preferred footwear. He sometimes accents with yellow, but he's not one for jewelry outside of watches. One thing he rarely compromises on is his purple sunglasses -- even if it's snowing out. They remind him of his Riddler domino mask.

The only canonical description Biff ever gets is when he's insulting an Indian untouchable, and calls him a "bug-eyed skinny brown guy," and is told "you're a skinny brown guy too". And once he mentions that some Chinese people are fascinated by Joshua's curly hair, implying that Biff's is not. AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO GO ON, REALLY. (So naturally I picked a PB that has kind of curly hair.)

But in my heart of hearts, he's pretty short (5'6), lean more than outright skinny, and with a decent build of muscles that really only serve to support the lanky look. He's perpetually unshaven and wild-haired, because who has time for shaving and brushing, but we can all be thankful that his cleanliness standards were very high for his day, meaning they're about average for today. You're welcome, City.

There's a pretty standard look of amused almost-mockery, but a smile comes easily to him. He's definitely not any kind of imposing, and looking at him, you wouldn't think the guy could fight — but he has a very fluid, balanced way of moving, and can move really fast and very suddenly when he wants to. In the City, he prefers to wear plain sleeveless shirts, jeans, and sneakers. He's thinking of buying a button-up shirt, but hasn't gotten around to it yet.
