I think this is a poll we've done before, but it's been QUITE SOME TIME SINCE THEN. This is something totally irrelevant that barely comes up in IC conversation, but all the same, I'm curious! The question of the day is:

How old are your characters?

I am not even kidding. Hogwarts student graduate when they are about seventeen/eighteen. Auror training has been said to be about three years. So, Tonks was like twenty-one/two when she was first introduced in OotP. Remus was thirty-six. Which would mean that she was twenty-two/three and Remus thirty-seven when they hooked up.

Which would mean that Remus might have first met Tonks when she was still in diapers. It's very horrifying. 8D

OH I KNOW, I commented to myself about just that when I first read HBP. I'm all DAMN REMUS WAY TO ROB THE CRADLE. Especially considering that Tonks is just a few years older than his best friend's kid. :V

...Although it's vaguely disquieting to me that both of my characters are with younger women in game now. ._. I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED OKAY.

That was my biggest complaint, but I worked myself into accepting the pairing, and a few good writers (IE. NOT J.K. ROWLING) got me to like them.

You poor thing. /rolls around with two characters dating people close to their own age~

Well, I'm the weirdo who doesn't like Ron/Hermione at all. UNPOPULAR FANDOM OPINION: Hermione's too damn smart to fall for somebody as gormless as Ron, and also too smart to fall for somebody as reckless as Harry. She's the chick who's going to focus on her career and have her kids late, okay? With somebody like.........idk. Somebody not shown in the books. Maybe a really smart Muggle. :V

Well, I happen to agree with you on that. I've also never really enjoyed the idea of Ginny/Harry. I accept it, but in my headcanon, Harry and Ginny divorce about a year after the epilogue and he winds up with Luna. The post-epilogue RP I was in also reflected that as well.
