So here's a question. A deal. A thing. When someone is ported in, their tv show/movie/comic/book VANISHES, right? Often is replaced with something similar, but of lesser (some would say greater) value. So. What is it replaced with? Is Terminator replaced with a movie about an Exterminator from the future come back in time to wipe all soldier ants out of existance, only to be stopped by a particularly beautiful shapeshifting lizard queen? Is Bible-Man a really popular tv show/comicbook/videogame in the City now that most DC comics no longer exist? Lucy (who is pretty awesome, admit it you cads), and I were talking about this. What's been mentioned in City? What hasn't? Make some up! Follow this formula, if you like, but it's not REQUIRED:

Okay, so seeing everyone discussing plots and holiday-related shizz...I think it would be nice if we made an official holiday-plotting/CR gathering...thing-a-ma-jig. So, GDS, I present to you...

CNC'S OFFICIAL HOLIDAY PLANNING THREAD

...so calling it official is a bit cocky on my part, I apologize, but seriously people might want to do things for the holidays and are too shy to ask people if they want to have get togethers for their characters that take place before, during, or after Christmas (remember, Chanukah's passed, there's still New Years...and Kwanzaa though I have yet to meet anyone who celebrates that) I mean, now that we all got to know each other thanks to the Friending meme...we can all swallow our shyness to discuss!

So please please PLEASE utilize this post to:
→ Gather thoughts with regards to what you want to do with your characters
→ Gather gift-giving ideas, or what gifts your characters are going to give other characters
→ Handwaving holiday ideas for those of you who have lives during the rest of December but still want characters to have shenanigans to reference

Lyra!mun posted something like that a few days ago but it was never utilized as much as last years gift-giving thread and I am genuinely curious people. So. Sometimes we really want to write out a fight and don't want to involve it in a larger, over-arching plot. Maybe we want a spar, or we want it to be one of those 'this is between you and me' situations. Maybe we just want an excuse for our characters to beat or be beat. I often find myself in such a state, and have thus decided to blow my meme wad for this month and make this. It's like a CR Meme with more savage throttling.

Let's Wrassle!

+Post with your character, one post per character, name in the subject line
+Use the form below in your post to provide relevant info
+Go cruising the ass-beating personals and find a buddy
+Plot, scheme, devise CR, etc

The Form

What kind of fights you want: A spar, or an honest to God fistfight? Want to start the whole thing in motion with a personal slight? Random encounter?
Canon: Just for reference, you know?
Age: In case nobody wants to beat on a kid or a fogie. OR IF THEY PREFER SUCH THINGS???
Power Set: What your character can do, possibly how they do it, and the limits of what they can do.
Equipment: What, besides his powers, does your character bring to the fight? Does he carry a weapon on him most of the time, or wear armor? IS HE A WEAPON?
Personality: Is your character prone to being taken by The Red Mist? Are they more provoked by an attack on themselves, or the vicitmization of helpless people or their friends? Are they ruthless dirty fighters, or will they give a chance to retreat? Are they merciful, or are they genocide incarnate?
Violence Tolerance: Without mod approval, nobody can die. However, it's good to know how far players are willing to take a fight in terms of injury or abuse. If people are allowed to beat the snot out of your character, but not torture her, mention it here. As usual, you'll be able to enforce this in the interactions themselves, but it's a good idea to put it out there ahead of time.
LFG?: Are you willing to have your character be part of another character's posse? Not everybody wants to fight alone. Maybe you play one of those friends other characters can hassle to spark a fight.
ANYTHING ELSE??? This is probably where you lot will put gifs and vuvuzzzzzzzzzelas.

I'd like to think we're all familiar with Japanese art site Pixiv, but I know I'd be totally wrong in thinking that.

Pixiv is like a Japanese Deviant Art with pages that load all the time, no ad pages, and a greatly reduced emo kid population.

To streamline the searching process without you having to carefully type out the katakana/hiragana for stuff, go to Wikipedia. Wiki your canon. Go to the languages sidebar and select the Japanese option. For those of you who don't know kanji, it's what looks like 3 kanji characters, the first of which kinda looks like an 8 on and old digital alarm clock. Copy down the article title, which ought to be your canon.

Search for that in Pixiv. Now do post here with the following three things:

-Your general impression of the nature of content for your canon on Pixiv
-One totally awesome thing you found
-One really weird thing you found
-OPTIONAL BONUS: The most poorly-executed art you found

If one of your castmates has already done it, don't despair. It's Pixiv, so believe me. Unless you are helluva obscure, I'm sure it will provide ample goodies for everyone.

ETA: For the love of Christ, warn for NWS. D: 18+ stuff is automatically blocked from you unless you turn it on, but not everyone tags their stuff properly.

FIVE (SHORT-ISH) THINGS YOUR CHARACTER DOES IN THE CITY

So basically just write five story things on five things your character does around the city. I'd say drabble, but I'm sortakinda horrible at staying under a certain amount of words so it's basically as long as you want. Mention as many other C&C characters as you can for extra warm and fuzzies on everybody's side. Maybe slightly less warm and fuzzies if attempted murder is included, but fffff. And before I forget, comment on other people's mutated drabble monsters to perpetuate warm and fuzzies.
