I just spent three weeks at my parents' house in Mississippi where the internet is spotty and three very needy family members monopolized my time utterly.

So one of the big things with my crack-addled canon is that the characters are, well, characters. The world as they know it is largely controlled by a dead man writing it as a story (don't... don't ask.) and Mytho is even ripped straight from a fairy tale. As such, the story and the characters have some preoccupation with fairy tale tropes, storytelling, and the nature of the fourth wall.

What I'm wondering and sparing the OOC comm from, is if there are any characters/muns floating around with similar preoccupations with stories/fairy tale type things/so on.

Yes, I know we just had a plotting meme last night, but I got there late (even if I used a placeholderp) and I really wanted to have some text in the post instead of just posting this image that makes a joke of Tony Stark's most well-known character trait.

I am in a heap big sour mood right now, and it's nobody's fauly but my own, so I need some amusement.

I'd like to think we're all familiar with Japanese art site Pixiv, but I know I'd be totally wrong in thinking that.

Pixiv is like a Japanese Deviant Art with pages that load all the time, no ad pages, and a greatly reduced emo kid population.

To streamline the searching process without you having to carefully type out the katakana/hiragana for stuff, go to Wikipedia. Wiki your canon. Go to the languages sidebar and select the Japanese option. For those of you who don't know kanji, it's what looks like 3 kanji characters, the first of which kinda looks like an 8 on and old digital alarm clock. Copy down the article title, which ought to be your canon.

Search for that in Pixiv. Now do post here with the following three things:

-Your general impression of the nature of content for your canon on Pixiv
-One totally awesome thing you found
-One really weird thing you found
-OPTIONAL BONUS: The most poorly-executed art you found

If one of your castmates has already done it, don't despair. It's Pixiv, so believe me. Unless you are helluva obscure, I'm sure it will provide ample goodies for everyone.

Yeah none of my other examples are as horrific.

All right, here's the thing: Do any of you guys know much about cellular phones? I plan to start looking for a new one over the summer, since my LG Shine has proven itself to be an unreliable hunk of dick. I selected it because it was the least shite phone at the carrier at the time, and we sort of needed to choose NOW NOW RIGHT NOW. Sine then, I have found that my list of requirements for a good cellphone has grown quite long. I don't need to hear anything about plans or contracts; I already have one and would be buying an unlocked phone if I get one at all. What I care about is the phone's form and features, and where to get one reliably.

SHIT I NEED
First and foremost (shit you not) it must be a flip/clam shell phone. I have tried bar phones, I have recently tried a slide phone with the Shine. I want to smash them both with hammers. Preferably a fairly slim one.
The ability to reliably send and receive MMS is absolutely essential. I know most modern phones can do it, but I also know that many of them are flaky.
Not too concerned about the camera. 2mp is ideal but not required, don't need good video capture. Prefer some ability to edit photos.
Need a good web browser. I don't have a data plan yet but I'm quite enthralled by them, and would like to have that option not suck. The Shine's? SUCKS.
Similarly, I'd appreciate a good calendar/day planner application.
Custom ringtones for my contacts. Gotta know whether I want to answer the phone before I even look at the number.
Hackability is a huuuuuge plus. I'd be thrilled to be able to hook it up to my PC and change the themes and message/key tones.
Bonus points awarded if you can recommend one with space for a strap. I fear dropping my precious.
