stopsendingme Scott Dolph from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. If you send too many pictures of him to Otacon, he remarks "STOP SENDING ME PICTURES OF THE COMMANDANT." it comes from that part and the fact that you are sending him to Otacon. There is no canon onhim, so I'm winging it.

quitefondayou - Mjr. Major Major Major from Catch-22. He is always under suspicion that he is secretly Henry Fonda, and I wanted to make a pun. Henry Fonda is also his PB.

nomagichere - The Fury from the webcomic The Cobra Days. One of his quotes is "I don't need any fucking magic powers to help me kill people." Hence the name.

czechmyskates - Gustava Heffner from Metal Gear: Solid Snake. She's a Czech woman who was a former Olympic ice skater. Another punny name.

LASSIFACE - I can't remember if he was actually called that in the show or not. But he prolly was. Shawn has called him lots of things, like Lassifrass or uh stuff idk. Mostly I just like to call him Lassiface myself before joining the game, because tacking -face at the end of a name is just something I do. (I also like to tack on -fs, a la Tobyfs... Lassifs. Hmm.)

SKIRREL - Skirrel is just a way I've liked to spell "squirrels" for like 10 years now. It's like cutsey baby spelling, I guess. Usually characters of loose sanity will say SKIRRELS instead of SQUIRRELS when I write them. God am I even making sense, okay, moving on.

LIARBOO - Okay okay. OKAY. Once upon a time, very very long ago, fan subs weren't very common on the internet. What there were were rare and few inbetween and pretty shitty. For "One Piece" it was a lot easier to just find and DL terrible Hong Kong bootlegs. Their English subs were barely comprehensible, but that turned out to be half the fun for watching the shitty bootlegs, so no one really complained.

Anyway, the characters had many, varied "translated" names thanks to the Chinese. Like Luffy was "Roofy" or "Rafi," Sanji always seemed to be "Sunkist" for some insane reason, and poor Usopp (aka "Usoppu") had many names, and Liar Boo was one of them (because "Uso" is Japanese for "Liar" and ppu sounds like "Boo" I guess). He was also called "Crook Boo" which would be a second LJ name for him if I ever need to make a new one for him.

I love the name Liarboo.

quickstudying :: My Jaina Proudmoore account (usedta play her elsewhere); I wanted just 'quickstudy' but that was taken. Anyway, as Funk said, she really would just prefer to be reading, and she's incredibly intelligent, so it derives from the phrase 'a quick study' while also referencing her predilections. I'd want something like velvetglove (because Uther refers her to as a 'fist in a velvet glove') if I renamed it, but I reckon that's taken.

stoneandlight :: an OC; named after the song 'house of stone and light' because it's all about redemption etc etc. Wouldn't change it even though it's lame.

This one's pretty obvious: The brand embedded in the palm of his left glove is called the Lobster's Claw. I have no inclination to change it, though if I decided I wanted to, it'd probably be something else similarly obvious like, "bewaremyjustice" or "hereistheclaw".

OKAY, so this needs some explaining! basically, Rin is the type of person to put her emotions on the back burner because she's a ~RAWR TSUNDERE~ chick, and to do this, she justifies things to herself so she can say "I have no reason to be sad."

for example, when Shiro mentions her father she says "I'm not sad, and I have no reason to be; he lived a long and happy life." and him being the charming protagonist is all, "NOOOOOOOO YOU DON'T NEED TO JUSTIFY THESE THINGS YOU'RE ALLOWED TO BE SADDDDDD" and then she's like, "SOB YOU'RE RIGHT SHIRO........." yeah.

nohomobro ✖ Kanji Tatsumi, Persona 4 ; LMFAO he's... a bi-curious boy who is initially like, REALLY bothered by the idea that he might be gay--or rather, the idea of people judging him because of it. so, when you first meet him he's pretty much constantly screaming at you, "HI MY NAME IS KANJI TATSUMI AND I'M NOT GAY."
