In any case, this was the first speech he had where I really got him. It was like a click in my head watching the episode, where suddenly all of his flaws made perfect sense. Alternatively, his "everyone lets me down" line in The Plan. :[ His life, so hard.

IN ANY CASE. I don't know if it's my favorite quote, because there have been a lot of threads I've enjoyed. I always love writing him bantering with Saitou/Kiryu/Alastair, being snobby with Lust, and gushing about machine things with GLaDOS, etc.

Favorite quote about the character: I think there was one point when Saitou said Cavil's posting on the comm because he "likes attention and analyzing others weaknesses," which is so totally true. Also, Kiryu calling him "all talk" when he was killing him.

Favorite quote: Umm, I don't know, I'm lame ;; AH WELL THERE IS ONE THING. In his most recent network post, the last line is actually a quote from one of my favorite short stories. It's called 'Fever' and it's about The American Plague--the outbreaks of yellow fever that killed literally thousands of Americans in the late seventeenth century. The worst outbreaks were in Philadelphia and along the Mississippi River Valley (20,000 deaths for the latter area alone). To me, the line is a striking meditation on the omnipresent nature of death and its relationship with the living.
