So, let's say, for the sake of discussion, that I am... dissatisfied with the powers that I chose for Fakir. I needed my app done, and no other ideas were coming to me, so I just put down his canon powers with a minor tweak.

In his own canon, Fakir's powers serve a very important role in the story, and in his own backstory. However, I know that not everyone in the City has the same powers here as they do in their own canon. I doubt Rikki can canonically summon pies, but if I'm wrong that's awesome anyway.

My reasoning is twofold:
-Fakir's powers, while useful (providing he is willing to use them), are very boring to play out. It's cool to watch it in full motion, but to write it out or read it is usually terribly dull. Their use in canon was only so tense and dramatic due to the situation and the great concentration needed to make it work, and you can't really replicate that every single time it would be best he use them.

-I tend to be a combat-oriented player. I love to play fight scenes and scuffles, even if I'm not that good at it. Fakir's powers, despite being really useful in aiding allies, keep him firmly rooted to one spot during all the action.

Because there are (good) IC and (selfish) OOC reasons like this for him not to use his powers, he's basically functioning as a Badass Normal due to his dexterity and ability to wield a sword. He has not used the power even once, so he may as well not have it.

So, CnC Spammers. If, hypothetically, I wanted to someday appeal to change his powers, what do you think might be a good choice?
