The Motor City Comic Con (which is in Novi, not Detroit) is coming up on May 18-20th.

One day tickets are $22 and three day tickets are $50. Guests range from CRAIG ROUSSEAU AND DEAN CAIN to people you will probably walk by while giving the stink eye such as Jim Calafiore. It isn't terribly impressive, but there are still some pretty excellent people (is Mike Grell just going to everything this year?) and I'll be attending most likely on Saturday only since my schedule won't permit much else.

So! OTL this is kind of a late announcement but me and the-Qu-formerly-known-as-our-Judai are gonna be at Connecticon this weekend! Which is in CONNECTICUT I totally bet you didn't know that.

So if you happen to be coming, or if you read this and suddenly go OH MY GOD SPINEL AND QU ARE THERE? GET ME A FUCKING TICKET then let us know! I won't be in costume, but I am almost certain to be wearing a pair of suspiciously familiar rose pink safety glasses on top of my head all weekend anyway so I shouldn't be impossible to find.

(Also we'll probably have spare space in our hotel room, so if you need a place to crash and a) I know you or b) I have excellent reason to believe you are not an ax murderer, come talk to me and I'll talk to Qu 'bout it.)

Yeah I know these are like way overdue. I have no excuse except my own laziness.

If you're one of those peeps who can't go to Anime Boston, because of their FAIL PLANNING (like me), then have no fair! Immediately the weekend after is a better convention known as Boston Comic-Con! It's your run of the mill comic book convention with dozens of dealers selling comic books at extremely low prices! There's also other memorabilia. I got my Cable action figure there and a dozen other awesome comic books (including, but not limited to Dazzler, Tim Sale's Spider-Man Green, and Cable).

They also have special guests! This year, they will be welcoming DC's new co-publisher, Jim Lee as well as Amber Benson (Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), JH Williams III (illustrator of Batwoman), Jim Starlin (creator of Thanos), and Tiny Titans artist Franco Aureliani plus a ton more!

The best thing about Boston Comic-Con is that it's super fucking cheap. It's only fifteen bucks a day. It used to be ten, but they have since moved to a much bigger location!

There is no way I'm missing this convention. I'm going to be in the area, cosplaying as Ultimate Dazzler. If anyone is going, we should definitely meet up.

At Comiccon, Marvel booth babes in business suits were giving out business cards for Stark Industries, advertising that they were hiring (sound familiar, lolol?) If you go to the website on the back of the card, you can fill out this whole big shebang of a job application and submit it.

Dear god, C&C. I'm with you less than a month and suddenly you've got me taking pictures of superhero costumes and looking through the dealer's room for comic books. I swear. You're like a rash, slowly taking me over.
